Sio eti wamevutiwa, ni vile hakuna Data centers in East and Central Africa! The first one was Build by IBM here in Nairobi in 2012. Global Data Center also called East Africa Data Center opened in Nairobi also some years back. I think even Ethiopia has none. Now that this in Dar will be state run, many countries will opt to use it, But tell me, Is it for Government use or will be used by anyone for data storage? And if so, is the governments taking it for business??kijotonyama is more advanced and modern one thats y many countries in east and central africa wamevutiwa kuitumia

The new entrants after Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda are targeting a high-tech fibre optic network constructed at Kijitonyama suburb of Kinondoni District in the city.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communications Professor Faustine Kamuzora said the two countries had expressed interest to be connected to the region’s centre for Information Communication and Technology (ICT).
“We can proudly say we’re the best ICT centre in East Africa,” Professor Kamuzora told a section of journalists from Tanzania -- and China who are in the country to assess performance of Chinese firm investment in Tanzania and Kenya."
Kenya has several data centers, If I am not wrong, it was the first in the region. Safaricom has a state of the Art Data Center, Essar Data Center KDN has a Data Center and Many more!!!
From your document it is talking of Mozambique and DRC and i even don't see any EA country.
What i Know is Uganda has a data Center, Rwanda has theirs.
In EA It was Tanzania, Burundi and South Sudan that had no Data Centers
