Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Those kibera guys are so hardworking. ..they deserve better. And I also like how the slum upgrading initiative is progressing. I hope those corrupt house brokers won't get in the way of kiberians to own a decent house.

That is the biggest challenge! Just like how it was with Railway Housing program that ended up benefits guys from the rich Langata. But last time i checked, the government had measures to make sure such thing never happen again. The first phase in January saw genuine 800 families from Kibera resettled

Do you want to tell me, Even Syokimau and Mlolongo are on fire with developments as well??
Syokimau is really developing fast.It now has countless private mansions, flats, bungalows and high rise apartments in gated communities. hata estate ya wetangula iko noma kuruka

najua nyuma iko wazi lakini pembeni imekua covered na front side pia
By January 2017 only 14 blocks were up! It is a continuous process where by they are built in clusters of 10 blocks.

So if you saw some blocks last year, many more have been added, many more are being added and many more will be added in the future.

I know it becomes hard for you to believe. But just like i said earlier, The truth will dawn on you very soon!!

Have you known that Eight lane highway is being build through the heart of Kibera as we speak? And other smaller roads being tarmacked as well, Wait here, i will come with updates that will shock you, a few months from now!!

It is an industrial hub of the city.
I am confused between Mombasa road and Thika road. ..both have developed to stretches of 50 km plus from the CBD. ...the kajiado side of Nairobi ndio sijui poa

najua nyuma iko wazi lakini pembeni imekua covered na front side pia.....alafu siku zote ujue nyuma yake kuna walinzi na magari yako nyuma kumlinda

That is not for security purposes, Uhuru walks and mingles with Kenyans on foot, what will change on a formal parade?? That is basically just a symbol of presidency and status on an official duty

But in terms of industries Mombasa road reigns. They should put up more footbridges on that road though coz it's a killer road

Thanks for the info El Matador, i have not been to this side of Nairobi for three months now, but my friends from the side are telling many new towers and buildings are coming up very fast with anticipated upgrade of the road.

Am also told that the road (Ngong Road) Is turning out to be a marvel of Nairobi!

Considering that this place is wealthier, compared and orderly than along Outer Ring, tend to think this place, along Ngong Road will be a beauty to behold.

Have they done the road beyond 70%??
No Edward I can give it 60% completion rate. But that place is very wealthy compared to the eastlands side .I saw like around ten towers coming up...can't imagine what it will look like in 2 years to come.

inanishangaza kuona slum watu wanaishi maisha hata nguruwe hawez kuishi....na pia ni one of tourism in nairobi

True Mombasa road has only 5 footbridges unlike Thika road with more than 10....but Thika roads always comes out with more accidents than msa road

In general, Nairobi is expanding right from Mombasa road literally to Kajiado Town.

It is massive, Syokimau, Mlolongo, then Athi River, From Here, Kitengela, Kisaju, Isinya, Then Kajiado. By Now, Kisaju to Kajiado, 3 Massive Universities are coming up!! The mother of them all Being Umma University, Between Kajiado and Isinya.

Basically, I think due to vaialbility of land and space, this place is turning out to be a true industrial area, From Kisaju to Kajiado, you can count hundreds of Industries, and i Mean hundreds. From Umma University, a few meters toward Kajaido is a very massive tile and ceramic factory called Twyford. It started production this year. I can tell you, this place is going to be a massive urban area, all the way from Nairobi to Kajiado in the coming three years. Here are some photos.
This is the interchange from Mombasa road onto Athi-River Kajiado- Namanga Road
