It has potential, no one is refuting that. But it is not anywhere near being compared with Mombasa. Mombasa has the biggest port in East Africa, it is the backbone of coastal tourism circuit (tourism is the 3rd highest foreign exchange in Kenya), the city has a functioning SGR, a functioning international airport, a bigger economy among many other things. Add that to a population of 1.5 million people against Mwanza's 300k people. Seriously, how do you even start comparing these two cities?
