When doing comparison you look at the bigger picture... You take for example the hunger in Turkana too generalise Hunger in Kenya which is not the case... Some areas we never see this we follow them like you on news and social media... The same goes for Water,Security...

World wide the best measure of acountry is not GDP but HDI(Human Development Index) This gives an indepth living standard of acountry...

If you honestly need clear answers for economic development among countries you can not use your own understanding to measure or stories from your friend. You need to use authentic infromation from world research agencies..

For your infor I work for a multinational, they came to kenya in 2015. Most of them use search infor to invest in acountry... In East Africa Kenya is always lucky to be launching pad.. Guess why

There is civil war in Syria, doesn't mean that all parts of Syria, there some places in Syria just are as calm as Dar es Salaam, they just get news on Televisions screens.

Investors and Multinational companies are looking for business opportunities and other factors like financial services, air transport connectivities, percentage of population with disposable income, business policies of the country, climate condition and others.
