Usiwe mjinga uwe unafanya hata research kidogo basi brt Tanzania was proposed by JICA as a result of a new city master plan in 2008.There you go again.. English comprehension issues. Kenya BRT was proposed enzi za Moi ( JAICA - Japan did a comprehensive feasibility study) .. Kibaki regime took over. When Thika Highway was constructed , ( BRT was included in the road planning)… Kibaha Highway was your response to Thika Highway ( you already knew that). I give you credit that when you copy Kenya , sometimes you go an extra mile to make your project better ( that’s why you wait , we do first). The following projects were copied straight outta Kenya but with improved planning
Modern farmers markets
Kibaha Highway ( better BRT space than Thika)
And many more ……….
Mbona picha ya bus kwenye advert na the real ngalangala ni tofauti? Here i what i talked aboutView attachment 3312684View attachment 3312685
Tanzania was not sharing economic data with Imf and wb for good seven years hata sasa sijui kama waneshaondoa au kurekebisha hiyo sheria ya takwimuThey are closer to being overtaken by Uganda and DRC than them overtaking Kenya.
Acha ujinga na wewe wa kubisha kila kitu, inafahamika duniani kamusi ya Kiswahili inatoka BAKITA usitoe maneno yako kutoka dictionary za wababaishaji mitandaoni.
Evidence? You are flying in your own fat ..🤣🤣… exactly just as you stated . Proposed in 2003 after Nairobi initiated BRT feasibility studies in 2002 following proposals in the late 90s. You get the picture now ?
Kazi yao ni kuongeza numbers ili kuji console, wajinga sn wakenya.Mwaka huu utanyamba
Kenya evolved the idea of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in Nairobi as a solution to address chronic traffic congestion and improve public transport efficiency. The project's roots can be traced back to discussions starting around 2009, with formal documentation in 2012 through Sessional Paper No. 2 of 2012 on the Integrated National Transport Policy. The concept gained significant momentum around 2016, as part of the Nairobi Integrated Urban Development Master Plan, leading to the formation of the Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (NaMATA) in 2017.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
- Early Discussions (2009-2012):
The idea of a BRT system was initially considered to address Nairobi's severe traffic challenges and improve public transport.- Formal Documentation (2012):
Sessional Paper No. 2 of 2012 officially recognized the need for an integrated transport system, including a BRT component.- Increased Momentum (2016):
The proposal gained traction as part of the broader Nairobi Integrated Urban Development Master Plan, highlighting the need for a more efficient and reliable public transport system.- Establishment of NaMATA (2017):
To oversee the implementation of the BRT system and other transport initiatives, the Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (NaMATA) was established in 2017.
The project aims to create a network of interconnected BRT lines across Nairobi, focusing on high-demand corridors to provide faster and more reliable public transport options for commuter
