Singita Faru Faru Lodge by Singita Game Reserves, on Flickr
View from our bedroom window at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge
Every one of the bedrooms look out on the crater to ensure all guests get an excellent view. The rooms in this Lodge are well appointed, but the whole lodge is looking like it could do with a bit of a make over. Despite this it is in a superb spot, the rooms are clean, the food is excellent and the staff could not be more helpful
With a choice of four places to stay, Singita Grumeti Reserves is on a 340,000 acre private concession created by US billionaire Paul Tudor Jones II on the edge of the Serengeti National Park. The nine-cottage Sasakwa Lodge provides the most luxurious accommodation, with beautiful, colonial-style decor, private infinity pools, four-poster beds and claw-footed bathtubs. Sabora Tented Camp comprises nine sumptuous Bedouin-style tents on an open plain; the more cutting-edge Faru Faru Lodge has nine stone, canvas and thatched suites in shady woodland on the Grumeti River. An exclusive new mobile camp, Singita Explore, was launched in June 2011.
