Kieran Tierney Fit for Arsenal's Europa League

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has confirmed Kieran Tierney will feature against Standard Liege in the Europa League.

Tierney has managed just 77 minutes of football since joining Arsenal from Celtic and the defender missed Monday night's 1-1 draw at Manchester United after suffering a small setback in his recovery from a groin injury.

Emery has confirmed Tierney will face Standard Liege at the Emirates on Thursday as Arsenal look to continue their winning start to their Europa League campaign.

"He still needs time, confidence, training and playing. Tomorrow is a good opportunity, he is ready to play," said Emery.

"It will take minutes and take confidence, he will be able to show us his progress."

Tierney was left out of the latest Scotland squad on Tuesday to face Russia and San Marino and Emery believes it is too soon for the full-back to return to the national side.

Liverpool remain in the Carabao Cup. They have been fined £200,000 for fielding an ineligible player at MK Dons but are free to ply Arsenal in the next round

Emery on Tierney: ‘he will play tomorrow’.

Emery on Bellerín: ‘tomorrow is an opportunity for him. He will play’.

Emery on Özil: ‘I am going to decide the best first XI & in the squad also the best who can help us’.

The difference in transparency & attitude is incredible.

Mourinho said a couple months back that Kieran is pretty old fashioned and carries himself in a very good way and added that he really likes his profile.

Seeing him play, as well as his interviews, I can see him becoming a leader for this club.

RB Leipzig are set to offer Dayot Upamecano a monster new contract in order to remove his current release clause. They fear Arsenal will trigger it at some point before next season, after the Gunners failed with a €55million bid in summer. #AFC

Arsenal will allegedly be able to sign their long-target Dayot Upamecano for £53 million from RB Leipzig next summer after it was reported the central defender's release clause will drop.

The Gunners were linked with the 20-year-old during the summer but in the end were not able to agree a deal. However, according to L'Equipe Leipzig will be forced to sell the youngster for £53m unless they can agree a new deal with the player.
