ARSENE WENGER was given another injury scare last night after Kieran Gibbs was taken for X-rays on an ankle injury.
The Arsenal starlet went off in the 20th minute of England's draw and was sent to hospital on crutches.
Gibbs, 20, did fly home with the rest of Stuart Pearce's Under-21 squad.
But Gunners boss Wenger, still reeling from Robin van Persie's ankle injury, will be sweating on Gibbs - who has replaced the crocked Gael Clichy at left-back.
He will now be doubtful for Saturday's trip to Sunderland.
Pearce confirmed: "Kieran went in for a challenge with one of their players and went for X-rays." Boss Psycho should have been fuming with his young guns after they wasted a hatful of chances.
The result means the Three Lions will have to win their last three games to ensure a place in the play-offs for the Euro 2011 finals in Denmark.
But England legend Pearce, 47, refused to put the boot into his misfiring side.
He said: "Lithuania are a stout defensive unit and are tough to break down.
"But we failed to take our chances. It's disappointing but we still have it all to play for.
"We have to win all three games but we have the capability to do that.
"It's difficult to qualify for these tournaments. Dropping points puts you under pressure but it's a fantastic learning curve for our boys.
"I'd like us to show a little more composure and be a bit more clinical but we'll learn."
Newcastle striker Andy Carroll went close three times in the first half before hitting the bar after the break.
England keeper Scott Loach was barely tested as the centre-back duo of Chris Smalling and Micah Richards held firm.
This was little Lithuania's chance to mix it with a host of Premier League stars, yet the clash did not capture the imagination of the locals.
Just 38 tickets had been sold on the morning of the match, although that number swelled to at least 300 by kick-off.
And those who braved the cold and driving rain saw England dominate without providing the killer touch.
Carroll headed wide on 10 minutes and went close with another header and neat shot.
Then, three minutes after the restart, he fired against the bar with just keeper Vytautas Cerniauskas to beat.
And, despite late pressure, the Lithuanians held firm.
Their boss, Vitalijus Stankevicius, said: "This was like a win for us."
For Pearce, though, it was two points dropped.
