..naona Democrats wameanza tena kumuita Bill Clinton a racist.

YNIM: mi siingili ucheshi wenu na Nyani Ngabu lakini we have to conceed a point tusije tukajikuta kwamba tumefanana na Billary. Uliexaggerate hiyo statement ya Jenna, maybe because you read the analysis somewhere else, but Jenna never said she will vote Democratic, she said she is out there 'shopping'. Tusitake kupindisha mambo.
Actually I think Obama will be just fine without Jenna's vote!
Take it easy brother na wikendi njema!

..naona Democrats wameanza tena kumuita Bill Clinton a racist.

Unamzungumzia Clyburn, nadhani:
Clyburn ni muhimu sana ndani ya chama na kumbuka that the AA ndo waliomfikisha Clinton WH in 1992 and 1995, so any Democratic nominee will need the AA block! Na Clyburn hajazungmzia out of nowhere. Bill aliongea tena pumba over the weekend kama kawa:

Unajua remarks za Bill zilikuwa nini? Ngoja nikutafutie....

Ok, so our friend Bill alikuwa anafanya interview ya radio WHYY na aliuliwa kuhusu playing the race card akajibu na mwisho kusema:

Susuviri,

..I know the background of all this. actually nimemsikia an AA Rep' toka Florida ambaye alikuwa SC pamoja na Mzee Clinton akielezea exactly what happened.

..Bill Clinton atasema amefanya this and that for ppl of color, na Clayburn atasema ppl of color did this and that for Bill Clinton.

..maswali ya msingi ni haya hapa: is William Jefferson Clinton a racist? or, were the remarks he made in South Carolina racist?

Joka Kuu: My personal opinion is that Bill Clinton is not racist but a shrewd politician playing from James Carville's book circa 1990s and he thought that he can categorize Obama as the " Black candidate" na ukiangalia that is what Geraldine Ferraro was doing as well. But it backfired.
So NO Bill Clinton is not racist.
Swali lingine: were his remarks racist? NO, the word racist is too strong and a person who is not racist cannot utter words that are racist, that's an oxymoron.
Lakini ukweli ni kwamba remarks za Bill zinaweza kuwa misintrepreted kwa sababu it is the first time Blacks in America see a real chance for a Black to become nominee and maybe even POTUS. Sasa unapomdismiss, you have to be very careful how you do it and keep the issue of race out. Comparing Obama to Jesse Jackson showed very poor tact.
Na ukiangalia Obama ame-insist sana kwamba Bill asilaumiwe and he never meant any disrespect. Problem ni kwamba Bill amekuwa mbishi kukubali kuzungumzia hii issue and he is seeing his legacy among the AAs evaporating and feels jilted and angry, hivyo anazidi kuongea kwa hasira.

Obama hakosolewi. Akishindwa primary wapambe wanalaumu ubaguzi. Kila kitu against Obama ni ubaguzi.

..i agree with you 100%. hata Mzee Clinton mwenyewe anasema kile ambacho wewe unakisema, that he is not a racist.

..tatizo ni kwanini hawa AA wanaendelea kumbebea bango kwamba ni racist? some of these ppl worked with him, or for him.

..hivi ni tangu lini kumlinganisha an up coming African American politician[Obama] to a legend like Jesse Jackson ikawa ni TUSI au DHARAU?

..now, with that background nina swali lingine: Is race card being played against Bill Clinton?

The race card gets tossed around and used for and against everything so long as they can benefit from it.

JokaKuu, we agree on some points hapa lakini I have a few problems with what you have pointed out:
- Kumlinganisha Obama na Jesse Jackson was not misspeak - it was an attempt to show that Obama's win in South Carolina was not a big deal. He only won like Jesse Jackson because of the black vote. Also Jesse Jackson won only South Carolina and then was forced to drop out. So yes, there was a latent connotation that later was even conceeded by Clinton camp, in fact WaPo wrote about this and how irritated the advisors were that Bill decided to strike out on his own. He miscalculated and instead fuelled a lashback. He knew what he was getting into and he made a mistake.

- Networks hazinunguniki that whites are racists it was the Hillary camp who said that there are number of whites in Pennsylvania who will not vote for Obama because he is Black - this was said first by Ed Rendell kama utakumbuka vizuri during the Ohio primary months before Pennsylvania primary. And there is evidence of that as those voters who said that race mattered when voting nearly 70% voted for Clinton and they were from rural areas. (check the exist polls)

- Race card is played by both sides just as sexism is played by both sides. Why, because one side can get away with racism and the other with sexism. Remember when people said that Obama was arrogant and demeaning and sexist when he said "You are likeable enough, Hillary."? Or when Obama camp questioned accuracy of Bosnia sniper fire, Hillary camp said that they are using bullying Rovian tactics?

I don't think that the race card is used against Bill Clinton, I think he assumed that the Blacks are on his side and was not careful what he said and now he realizes that there was room for misintrepretation. I don't think Bill Clinton needs any defending against the race card, he is very good at defending himself. Neither does Obama against sexism, he is just as capable.

Sasa when it comes to whining Clintons are champions! Katika hili hakuna ubishi!
