Ni kweli unachosema juu ya Mto Songwe na pia ni kweli nilichosema kuhusu Lake. ni kweli haijawahi kuwepona mgogoro.....................jambo lililojiri ni kutoka kwa sisi wenyewe wananchi kuzungumza juu ya Ziwa hili na ndio maana hizi serikali mbili ikabidi zichukue hatua kufanya hizo survey (both to the Lake and mto Songwe) ili kuwekana sawa....................... ninajua nilichokisema kilitokea na kazi inaendelea

Naomba Watanzania tuwe macho na Viongozi wetu wa leo ambao wanatamka maneno bila ya kutafakari na mwisho wa siku wanasutwa na umma. Hili swala ni nyeti sana halipendezi kuona linaongelewa kitoto na ambao tunawaita viongozi wetu. Wanataka kututumbukiza katika wakati mgumu na ambapo hatujui ni vipi tutalimaliza. Maadui wa Tanzania ni wengi na ambao wangependa kuona tunatumbikia huko na jinsi ya kutoka itakuwa vigumu sana. Hivyo nawamba viongozi wenye dhamana na TAIFA hili muwe makini na kauli zenu.

I believe that every creature in this mother world likes to live,peacefully and with hope. We African Brothers (Malawi & Tanzania) in a number of years we have common understanding and good relationship,why becoming eager to fight?? Is this a real solution to solve the problem raised over Lake Nyasa a.k.a Lake Malawi?? I do wonder some Malawians and my fellow Tanzanians are commenting here and being happy if war against each other is breaking!! This is non sense from senseless people..!! None of you who can real tell the truth who will benefit from this war…we have to think of the poor ..women..children..etc. If things become worse in one side(it can be TZ or MLW),JB or JK will flee to the foreign country..probably in the place where they have deposited what they grabed from their countries…leaving the poor ones suffering from this tragedy.It is true that most of African leaders nowadays are doing things for their own benefits,we TZnians and MLWians we have to think thrice who will benefit from the Lake Resources….obvious those who will have positions and close look on Production and sales…the poors will have a very very small parcentages you can’t tell. Most of those who comments here am sure are those who are falling in the group of the marginalised..the poors,those who do not have a chance of smelling of our nations’ cakes(Wealth). I Suggests that we Tanzanians and Malawians if the War breakes over this issues Let us demonstrate to Stop it..!! Guys in LLW and DAR we can do this… Also as some one commented we can not loose if we share the benefit of the lake together,we as brothers. The Wazungus have already confused us with their Treaties,most of them for their own benefits and not for ours. I am also disappointed with the Journalists and news reporters over this issue..they are also “Fans”. Some are telling us that TZ has already sent troops to the border…this is intimidating people they must be sure of what they are writing…I hope our leaders will compromise on the issue wisely. What you are saying is possible if and only if our economy don't rely on the mzungus pocket. You know how we depend on mzungu to run our government/life from family level to the national level. At around the time of independence quite a few people in Tanzania wanted to claim a huge part of Lake Malawi or Lake Nyasa . Cool heads eventually prevailed, as most Tanzanians, including the legendary President Julius Nyerere, understood the importance of respecting boundaries emanating from colonial times. During most of Dr Kamuzu Banda's rule, Tanzania never really pushed this crazy idea of dividing up the lake. The issue was almost forgotten during the rule of Dr Bakili Muluzi and thereafter. In fact, Dr Bingu wa Mutharika commissioned a company to start exploring oil in the lake. Tanzania said nothing at that time. Now we have a new president and all of sudden the Tanzanians are demanding that our government stop all exploration activities in the lake until all border issues have been clarified. Why now? Folks, there is a reason why we have tradition. Tradition may appear useless and outdated but it is important because it usually become established after a long experience. In politics there is what is known as ‘presidential protocol'. These are small things which over the years have proven to be niceties a president must or must not do in order to represent his/her country correctly.

I dont thnk if Malawians are ryt on the issue if not puppeting wazungu ideologies,i wonder why just claiming whole ownership of the lake frm tz why not frm mozambique? The reason here is uroho..for they knew on the partial ownership of the lake,why didnt they seek a permision frm tz b4 airing their planes to tz airspace,we call it invansion,do malawians want to show us their superioty despite their ongoing weak leadership? I here concur all the statement by the superiors, IF MALAWIANS ARE PEACEFUL GUYS,LET OBEY WHAT TZ WANTS,otherwise just drain ur water to the boundry we need and leave our land for our p'ple. I have not liked your mentioning of his name in this stupid bonanza going on. those who declared our readiness to go into a fight with Malawi do not have proper authority to do so, they were taken by their recent irresponsible habit of giving bad mouthed statements knowingly Mr. President will not interefere immedietly.

It is this naivete habit which is driving the Chama cha Mapinduzi into the graves speedily which made them made such statements, these three, Lowasa, Sitta and Membe, they are the most nevous politician in this country, and they can do anything to attain their high Political Offices.

send this message to my brothers and sisters in Malawi that, the guys who issued such evil statements, although are holding big political positions in our Country, and are regular visitors in our state house are unwanted by the majority of Tanzanias, and soon their fate will be no more. Lets leave in peace as usual enjoying the cold water of lake Nyasa/Malawa together.

Mkataba wa UN pia unatupa haki ya kumiliki nusu ya ziwa.

Malawi got their name from the 16th century empire named "MARAVI KINGDOM" predominantly governed by the Chewa tribe. Before the British conquered Nyasaland, they found a much weakened kingdom as a result of African conquistadors from the north called "YAO and NGONI". This kingdom did not even cover the northern half of the lake which was then under the Ngoni and Yao (see the mal below):

Kifupi madai ya Malawi ni kwa nchi inayoitwa Tanganyika, nchi ambayo haipo tena na tukifuata mipaka ile tutaanzisha maswala mengine kabisa yalipitwa na wakati. Leo hii sisi wote tunafungwa na sheria za UN..
