Professor Karim or the Comedy of Errors

Basi hata Hamjiulizi ile kambi ya Lugalo pale Dar jina lake limetokana na nini? Mimi si mwanahistoria lkn najua kuwa fort Lugalo ni pahali ambapo Mkwawa aliwapiga wajerumani. Khaa

Chief Abdullah Mkwawa, Mtwa-Mkwavinyika bin Mtwa Muyigumba Mwamuyinga and together with Mohd Khalfan Al Barwani (Rumaliza) fought against the Germans who were under the leadership of Emil von Zelewisky at Lugalo on 16 August 1891.
They killed Von Zelewisky and a significant number of German soldiers including about 300 of his African soldiers. This made the German Chancellor to change his war startegies.
Omar Hassan Makunganya before being hanged was their ally (Mkwawa & Rumaliza) and main supplier of reinforcement troops.
Rumaliza was a marxman and there is a legendary story of his heroism in such a way after the defeat of the Germans they awarded him with an honorary medal for his heroism.

The spoils of war is a pitiful story, all that time while the Muslimans were fighting the Germans the Missioneries occupied the captured lands of the Muslimans territories and by the help of German Army they built their stations in Kalenga, Tosamaganga and Lugalo.

Just read this excerpt:

"Br. Mikael Hofer, OSB, was ordered by the Leader to report in Tosamaganga immediately, and not to return, because of the intensity of the fighting we were given two soldiers until tomorrow's meeting in Lugalo."

-Ref. P.Gerold Rupper. OSB, From Pugu to Peramiho 1888-1988 pg.80

On the 17th august 1891 von zelewsky with his 320 soldiers was ambushed by mkwawa army in their fort at lugalo

No, you are wrong sir, and if that information is what you contain then we got a long way to go, there was no any Fort in Lugalo, Those Historians (by which, I think you are not) will remember that, the Fort was in Kalenga.

Punjab Singh

teh teh teh, unavyomtetea mleta mada, gwiji la Historia anayeshindwa hata kujua ngome ya Mkwawa ilikuwa wapi na Wajerumani walikuwa wapi, huyo anakosa sifa automatically za ku-make a critique, hebu jisomee hapo chini alichoandika

"It was not Mkwawa with the support of
Abushiri who stormed German fort in Lugaro?
Was not Bwana Heri who organize his people
to fight aginst German? "

Hii ameipata wapi? Huu ni upuuzi.

yaani huyo Ilongailunga, pamoja na kutumia "synonyms english words" ili aonekana anajuwa kunyosha kingereza kumshinda prof.hirji, ukisoma unaona pumba nyingi halafu mchele mchache.:smile-big::smile-big:

Mgalatia jaribu kuusoma.ujumbe, sio kutazama Spelling errors!
Hivi nyie watu Lini mtatoka nje ya Box? Au mpaka Yesu Atakakaporudi?
Naskia Vatican Wamesema kuwa Mshkaji Amesala, harudi tena.

Ilongailunga kuna ujumbe nyeti kutoka kwa prof hutaki kuuelewa...distortion of history, be it official or unofficial is not unique to Tanzania and against muslims of Tanzania as claimed by MS..it is a universal phenomenon.

Ni hulka yenu kushawishi wajinga kwa kuandika magazeti.Acheni wasomi waelimishe kwa kuandika facts.

It is a shame calling yourself a historian, yet you don't even know relationship of Lugalo and the Mkwawa's victory of 1891
To help your rotten mind...Lugalo was an area where Von Zelewsky was attacked with his African Muslim askaris from the coast. located about 20 kilometres east of Iringa town...
Mkwawa's fort was in Kalenga about 30 kilometres west of Iringa meaning Kalenga and Lugalo are about 50 kilometers apart and this fort in Kalenga was called LIPULI...surrounded by a 13 km in diameter wall made by stonnes, tree logs and with askaris's towers...The surrounding of LIPULI fort with those materials was called LIRINGA hence the name Iringa which you know today.

It is a shame whenever you want to associate Mkwawa life with Islam..he wasn't a Muslim but his sons converted ro Islam later on. ...To help you..did you ever hear or read slave trade conducted in Iringa?
Associating Mkwawa with Abushiri or Bwana Heri is nothing short of sheer madness...please do us a favour by providing any credible reference to support your case

Then you are out of sync GAUTAMA

you think mkwawa and all other heroes were fighting the germans in their home areas only?
Punjab sikh may you support your case by providing a credible reference on support of Mkwawa from Abushiri or Bwana Heri? Eat well your evening parikaar

This is killing your organs inside you chamakh. You did not know that Mkwawa was Musliman!!! Go to the Kalenga Museum ask for his great grand son (Kitukuu) Mr. Zubeir Suleiman.

Alot of Kivukoni historians who wrote about the heroism of these indigenous heroes at national level and tribal level but never about their faith. And whenever someone brings this up then people like you starts a war of words.
Why don't you just admit that this is not what you were fed and made to believe all time? Teh teh teh.
