Nani zaidi kati ya Wordpress vs Drupal ?

Nani zaidi kati ya Wordpress vs Drupal ?

You see kuangalia tu that listing site umeweka hapo, i know its a wordpress theme by templatic, anyways to answer your question, check these two here Heather The Realtor - Orlando Real Estate and http://www.christopheharbour.com/ you can see kwanza hazifanani kabisa and in my opinion, these two are better looking than that wordpress theme by templatic and trust me, it was easy to create those ee sites than that wp by templatic, kucompare wp and expressionengine is like comparing php na ruby on rails.

They may be better looking, but to me are not user friendly.

If I were your customer, halafu unitengenezee property portal kama hizo, I will be very dissapointed.

Honestly, I would not be impressed by those sites at all. To me, they look like old-fashioned property listing portals.

Users want to go straight to the point like this: Zoopla > Search Property to Buy, Rent, House Prices, Estate Agents, na siyo about me, chat with me, etc. I want to go straight to the site and start searching for properties.

Still you fail to realize that how the site looks, is the choice of the client / designer not the cms, let me help you a little bit, read this article to see the story behind the design of one of those sites Flourish Web Design - Portfolio - Web Design - samples of our recent Web design and Web development work .

Depend on which users, see real estate isn't done the same way everywhere, wewe you are speaking "what you need", in the US, maybe people need to get to know the person they are dealing with first, so bombarding them with a bunch of listings wont cut it, i am sure the clients, needed their sites to look like that not those "steriotype" kind of sites, and i would advice you my friend to try to learn from different designers, how they do their stuff you will be a better judge on what sites certain kind of sites should look like, don't be so programmed, think outside your limitations

Thinking out of the limitations is not enough for me as I prefer to smash the limitations and resurrect monuments.

Otherwise, ni sawa na kuniambia kuwa you had a limitation which led you to think out of them to find the solution (ExpresionEngine), but after finding the solution in ExpresionEngine that was it.

But thinking outside your limitation is merely the first innovative step because innovation requires more. Also, thinking out of the limitations and stopping there suggests that innovation presumes that there is only one right answer.

Thus, finding the solution in ExpressionEngine and thinking that you have succeeded is simply a limiting approach.

The finding of the correct answer approach is the old school definition that we were taught in primary education. But there is more than just a right answer.

Thus, rather than limiting yourself to
ExpressionEngine, you should continue to stretch yourself and the boundaries of your thinking to find new, fresh solutions to your challenges ahead.

Achieving this will require not only thinking outside your limitations, but in thinking beyond the task or goal, to be open to challenging any aspect or parameter of the situation you believe applies.

There are people out there who believe that Facebook is the best solution to social media. But innovators haven't stopped there. They think that they can innovate even more and come up with something spectacular than Facebook.

Kwa hiyo basi, nadhani wewe ndiyo umekuwa
programmed kwa kudhani kuwa ExpressionEngine is everything. And you have so by merely thinking outside your limitations (which is just the first step for innovation).

My friend like i said before, wordpress was my first ever cms to use, then drupal, then i tried that other cms(joomla), didn't spend much time on it because i wasn't impressed, so i tried modx and expressionengine, enjoyed working with these two but settled on ee because i just loved it, while i was doing all this i learned css and javascript and php (i'm pretty good at php) but i also don't like it, because its code is ugly and its painful to work with compared to other solutions.

I also did some java programming and ruby (didn't like java because its too restrictive and requires a lot of code to do something that ruby does with one line of code, but i know my way around java so i'm not limited to only ruby).

The same reason that made me hate java was also happening with javascript, but because its a necessary skill to have in your repertoire as a designer and so i learned coffeescript (which has much better syntax and less code), you see i'm not limited to ee i know quite a lot but my experience doing what i do (yep been doing this for the past 7 years so i have some experience) say that, when you are working with a certain tool, if you are not enjoying it, find another solution, and when you find that solution, perfect your skills on it and master it.

My point is, me saying that i never consider wp / drupal as options unless otherwise stated by the client doesn't mean i'm not able to do a wordpress theme, i actually am really good at it, i just don't think its worth the pain.

I said you should think outside your limitations because you saying "a real estate listing site needs to show the listings right away when you visit it" to me sounds like somebody who has been programmed to think that certain things are supposed to be done a certain way and that's the "limitation" i was talking about, so kama you are really good at wp, don't use other people's themes, roll out your own themes, scratch your own itch, that's my advise to you.

Mkuu hapo kwenye red ndipo kwenye tatizo na ndipo post yangu ya awali ilipokuwa imelenga.

Kwa maana hiyo basi unakubaliana na nilichosema. Kwamba baada ya kupata EE you settled on it.

That is why I said if you truly want to be an innovator, then rather than limiting yourself to EE, you should continue to stretch yourself and the boundaries of your thinking to find new, fresh solutions to your future challenges.

The point of saying i settled on it, is because, i had tried almost all the major CMSs, and none of them felt right for me but when i found EE, i felt like i'd found my perfect CMS, so i decided to be as good as i could be with ExpressionEngine, ndio maana unaona hata programming languages nimejaribu za kutosha lakini Ruby feels right for me so i'm setting out to be one of the best Ruby programmers around, that's not limiting myself that's stretching my capabilities to their limits, you don't want to be the 'jack of all trades but the master of none' you want to be so good at what you know, that you can solve any problem.

Hii debate kali sana ila ni vizuri kuona watanzania wakibishana passionately kuhusu teknolojia inaonesha maendeleo kwenye mambo ya IT.

WordPress vs drupal vs Expression engine

Kwahiyo CMS yeyote utakayotumia

I agree kwamba the way your site looks is not a job of your cms.

Ndiyo Mkuu, mimi najuwa ku-design wordpress themes/templates na sijawahi kutumia themes za wengine.

and this maajabuyamaji.net is one of your work?

YES IT IS THE MY GREAT WORK. But it is underconstruction right now na inahitaji muda zaidi, Unahitaji DEMO uone ninavyo-design templates mwenyewe?

and this maajabuyamaji.net is one of your work?

YES IT IS THE MY GREAT WORK.

Fadhili Paulo, let me ask you a question, if you were a client, would you pay money for that site? and by the way if i press F12, i can still see the markup of your site, artisteer generated theme. You need to do a lot of work before you can consider yourself a website/theme designer my friend.

Angalia tu mifano ya hawa jamaa Skyline Design | Web + Branding + Apps or this guy - Personal Website of Stephen Gacheru (hao ni wa hapo kenya tu, sijapata wa tanzania because i think bado sijaona hapa bongo, mi siwezi kujiweka maana that will be bragging) now compare their work with yours and think again, simaanishi vibaya, i just want you to take a reality check and start working hard maana there's a reason this site here National Website of the United Republic of Tanzania is so ugly because people who call themselves designers wanapewa kazi kwa kujuana then wanatengeneza vitu vya kutisha.

If you want designing to be your job, then there's no shortcut, you need to work your ass off, achana na those artisteer or any shortcut my brother.
