A reputable tour company operating luxury safari camps and lodges in Tanzania is looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and professional Sous Chef to join their kitchen team in their camp in Serengeti National Park.
DUTIES:
-Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring smooth daily operations.
-Prepare and present high-quality meals according to company standards.
-Supervise and guide kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
-Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency.
-Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the kitchen.
-Monitor food stocks and minimize wastage.
-Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
-Coordinate kitchen activities with the restaurant and service team.
-Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
-Ensure all meals are prepared and served on time.
-Assist with stock-taking and control of kitchen supplies.
-Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and camp standards.

-Good communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work and live in a remote camp environment.
-Must be disciplined, reliable, creative, and passionate about cooking.
