History has shown that when men and women of goodwill, honesty and integrity try to fight evil and corruption; they often face the difficult task of securing themselves. Their enemies are often very powerful, rich and well connected. Mwakyembe may be a victim of that scenario. Truth will eventually come into the open.
But once again history has proved that regimes that thrive on such tactics often end up in a baggage pit themselves. Not poison or military might will stop the PEOPLE from asserting their power.
The struggle shall be long, but we will endure and emerge triumphant in the end. " Faint hearts never win decisive battles" so said Malcom X. He was gunned down by reactionary forces and boot lickers. Today we have a black American president. Who thought that was possible!
Every struggle has costs. The Mwakyembes and the likes have paid the ultimate price - sacrificing themselves for the general good of the rest of us. We can only pay tribute to them by faithfully taking up the banner of the struggle for a righteous society. To do otherwise is betrayal to the cause. And in this uranium will not stop us. The clouds are gathering ushering the coming of a storm that will sweep Mother Tanzania clean in the very near future.
Mwakyembe, we pray for your miracle!
