De Gea
Was largely untested for the majority of the contest and could do nothing to stop the Middlesbrough goal.
1.
E. Bertrand
Composed performance in the middle of the United defence. Hedged his bets late in the game with a shoulder barge on Ramirez.
3.
C. Smalling
Was caught by Negredo for the Boro goal as he was drawn to the ball and allowed Leadbitter to slip past him. Other than that was solid.
12.
H. Mkhitaryan
A constant threat in and around the final third, linking up well with Pogba and Ibrahimovic.
22.
Ander Herr...
Not his best outing for the Red Devils as he was sloppy in possession and failed to track Leadbitter's run.
21.
P. Pogba
An excellent performance from the Frenchman capped off with a fine goal. Displayed his impressive range of passing throughout the contest to get his side into dangerous areas of the pitch.
6.
A. Valencia
Pushed Friend back towards his own with a number of marauding runs throughout the match.
25.
D. Blind
Had trouble dealing with the pace of Traore on his flank. Was booked in the second half and replaced late in the game.
17.
M. Fellaini
Offered support in the final third, but his efforts at goal were tame. Lacked the clinical edge needed.
27.
Z. Ibrahimovic
Saw his goal chalked off for foul on Valdes, which was not the case. Kept his side going in the second half, winning the vital header to tee up Martial.
9.
A. Martial
United's best player and got the vital equaliser to spark the comeback. Used his pace and skill to torment the Middlesbrough defence, while his runs were always intelligent. Unfortunate to see a first-half strike hit the post.
11.
M. Rojo
Replaced Blind to protect against the threat of Traore and was solid.
5.
Mata
Offered a spark in the final third in the second half after replacing Fellaini. Linked up with Martial, especially well.
8.
M. Rashford
Used his pace to put huge pressure on the Boro backline late in the game.
