The BBC World Service just replayed this "Hard Talk" . I am listened.
Steven mwenyewe anasema "you are putting a very positive spin on this".
The way ilivyokuwa described, one would think it was a total disaster, actually it was not stellar, but it was above my expectations, considering this is "Hard Talk" and Nyalandu is a newly crowned social climbed who is still working on his intonations and debate skills.
One of the corner he walked himself into is saying they arrested very senior people, then when Steven asked him to name names, he ends up talking about a Singida warden.
One of the best points he played up was that Tanzania is the only country in Africa to deploy it's military in it's own territory to fight poaching.
The interview in my estimation was not "a waste of bandwidth" as some had us believe.
At the very least it puts a Tanzanian minister on record at the world stage. If Nyalandu slacks, people could always come back to this interview and remind him of the commitment he played up.
