Wachina wameshinda tenda hiyo. Kampuni ya CCECC itapewa $160M. Itajumlisha urefu wa 20. 3km, flyovers 2, and 29 bus terminals.

Kazi itaanza mwezi huu December na kukamilika kwa miezi 36.

Dar es Salaam. China Civil Engineering and Construction Corporation has been awarded a tender to construct a $160 million second phase Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.

Construction of the 20.3km road would include two flyovers of 24m width and length of 150m each, 29 bus terminals, a control centre and a garage.

The project is expected to start this month and will be completed in 36 months.

Dar es Salaam Rapid Transit Agency public relations manager William Gatambi told The Citizen recently the project would start after finalising the compensation process to residents along Kilwa Road.

“We have so far paid 56 out of 105 people who are supposed to be compensated, “he said.

He said those that were yet to be paid were still opening their bank accounts so that the money could be deposited in their accounts. Others were completing some legal procedures.

According to him, so far there are no objections. People have been signing the affidavit forms for them to be paid so that they evacuate.

Reports show that African Development Bank agreed to issue $141 million for the project and the remaining funds will come from the government. With the growing population of Dar es Salaam, the government began to draw up plans for a rapid transit system in 2003. The government predicted the city population to grow to over 5 million by 2015 and invited the Japan International Cooperation Agency to design a master plan for transport in the city in June 2008.

A bus rapid transit and a metro transit system were proposed but the metro system was not approved due to the high construction and operational costs involved.

The project was placed under the Prime Minister’s office and a Dar Rapid Transit Agency (DART) was created through a government notice on 25 May 2007.[9] A 130 km bus rapid transit was planned to cover over 90% of the city’s population and the project was split into six phases due to the large investment required.[10] The initial project cost was financed by the world bank and the bank provided $180 million for the construction of the first phase

Nyie jamaa wa Lumumba linapokujaga swala la Magazijuto hamuelewagi kabisa, Hapa ni hesabu tu, numbers hazidanganyi. Kama barabara ni kilometa 20 (yaani mita 20,000), na unasema kituo hadi kituo kwa sasa haizidi mita 200 ( means sometimes inapungua),

Ina maana idadi ya vituo kwa sasa ni zaidi ya (20,000/200) = vituo 100+ ??

Na kama kituo hadi kituo tuseme ndio hizo 200mita maximum, na idadi ya vituo ni hiyo 14maximum, means unataka kusema barabara ina urefu wa (200mita x 14) + mita200 = Mita 3,000 = 3km tu maximum?

Hii ya ubungo mpaka mbezi magari ni machache mno na mengine yalisha haribika yapo jangwani mle na isitoshe msimu wa mvua ndio huu tena sijui wamejipanga vipi pale.
Tatizo siyo barabara hapo. Tatizo hapo ni kampuni hiyo ya mabasi kuendeshwa na kusimamiwa na Watanzania.

Tunachoweza Watanzania ni ngoma, ulevi, wizi, majungu, uzembe na kuharibu.

Tunaiona BRT inavyokufa lakini hakuna hatua yoyote inayochukuliwa ya kuinusuru. Tunabadili wafanyakazi badala ya kubadili namna nzima ya utendaji.

Je, kama tatizo ni ujinga wa wakandarasi, je kwa nini wasipatiwe elimu kuondoa huo ujinga kwa manufaa ya taifa zima.?
Mpaka unafikia hatua ya kuwa mkandarasi halafu huelewi faida ya kupata tenda kubwa kama hizi za BRT basi inabidi utafute shughuli nyingine ya kufanya. Ukandarasi sio wito wako.

Tunachoweza Watanzania ni ngoma, ulevi, wizi, majungu, uzembe na kuharibu.

Tunaiona BRT inavyokufa lakini hakuna hatua yoyote inayochukuliwa ya kuinusuru. Tunabadili wafanyakazi badala ya kubadili namna nzima ya utendaji.
Yale yale ya kusoma ili mtu afaulu mitihani badala ya kupata elimu itakayoyasaidia maisha yake.

Mbongo anapo ajiriwa anawaza atapigaje ela ili 'atoke'. Si mfagizi si mkurugenzi. matokeo yake project nyingi za wabongo azifanyi vizuri au zinakufa.

Ukiusoma vizuri mradi huu wa awamu ya pili utahusisha barabara ya Kilwa means kutoka town mpaka Mbagala ambapo jumla ni Km 10+
Pia utahusisha kumalizia barabara ya Kawawa Kusini kuanzia Magomeni mataa kupitia Ilala Boma hadi Karume hadi mataa ya Chang`ombe ambapo inasemekana watajenga flyover pamoja na mataa ya Uhasibu, ikishavuka mataa ya Chang`ombe itapasua Keko yote na kupita barabara ya Chang`ombe hadi barabara ya Mgulani na kutokea kwenye ile roundabout ya Mgulani JKT na Kilwa Road ( ilipo shule ya sekondari Jitegemee ) ambapo pale ndo itakutana na hiyo route ya Mbagala to K/koo jumla yake ndo 20.3 Km
Kwa idadi hiyo ya Kms na idadi ya vituo ni sawa tuu
au chukulia mfano phase one kutoka Kimara-Morocco hadi Gerezani-Kivukoni jumla ni Km 21 na vituo ni 29 pia
Hivi kwa haraka unaweza sema kutoka Kimara hadi K/koo ni Km 21!!!? La hasha bali wamehasibia hadi kutoka Morocco kwenda town

VP kampuni za wazawa? Je, hawawezi kufanya hii project? Je, tatizo ni ujuzi mdogo, elimu duni, uzoefu mdogo ama mitaji midogo ya wakandarasi wetu?

Kama tatizo ni ujuzi na uzoefu Mdogo, je kama nchi tuliwawezesha vipi kupata ujuzi kwenye phase 1 ya huu mradi?

Kama tatizo ni elimu mbovu, je kuna hatua gani zinachukuliwa na wahusika kurekebisha hilo?

Na kama tatizo ni mitaji midogo ya wakandarasi, je taasisi zetu za kifedha nchini zina msaada wowote? Na je, mfumo mzima wa upatikanaji mitaji kwa kampuni za wazawa kwa projects kama hizi upo vipi?

Je tunaelewa madhara ya kiuchumi kwa kuwa tegemezi kitaaluma?

Haya ni maswali ambayo kila mzalendo wa kweli anatakiwa kujiuliza.

Utaalamu gani koko huo ina maana hata kama eneo ni pori hamna watu unaweka kituo kisa Ku meet rule ya kuwa Kila mita 500 kituo cha basi?
Wambie.Kwa mfano kutoka Mtongani mpaka kituo kinachofuata unapoenda Mbagala Ni mita Mia tano?
