Yeye hakuunga mkono upande wowote, alisimamia ukweli na kusema tatizo la pale Palestina ni la kihistoria na linapaswa kutatuliwa kidiplomasia, kasema kesi za kisiasa haziwezi kutatua lile tatizo.
Na ndio ukweli wenyewe maana hata hiyo ICJ ilishindwa kusema chochote zaidi ya kuomba Israel iwe makini kwenye kuhakikisha hapafanyiki mauaji ya kimbari.
Ifahamike kwamba Israel ingetaka kufanya mauaji ya kimbari, yaani wanapig carpet bombing ndani ya muda mfupi panakua shamba, uwezo huo wanao.
