A combination of spectacular performances and shocking decisions saw Chelsea thrash Tottenham 5-1 in the FA Cup semi final to set up a final with Liverpool.

A joint minutes silence was held prior to kick-off for the 23rd anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy and the death of Udinese's Piermario Morosini.

Chelsea were awarded a free-kick in a decent position early on, but Drogba saw his effort sail well over.

Scott Parker set the tempo in midfield early on, charging around the pitch and putting in plenty of robust challenges.

A marauding run from Salamon Kalou created a good chance for Juan Mata, but the Spaniard was unable to beat former Blues keeper Carlo Cudicini.

Spurs best chance of the half came when Aaron Lennon found the head of Rafael van der Vaart, with the Dutchman denied by a John Terry goal line clearence.

Tottenham came close again when van der Vaart's attempted through ball evaded eveyone and struck Petr Cech's right post.

Drogba latched on to a long clearance before spinning away from William Gallas and striking a thunderous half-volley to give Chelsea an unexpected lead.

The goal came on the stroke of half-time following a 45 minutes in which Tottenham had looked the most likely to score.

Controversy struck after the re-start when Juan Mata was awarded a phantom goal after Assou-Ekotto cleared the ball before it crossed the line.

Tottenham's protestations proved futile as the goal stood and Chelsea extended their lead to two.

Redknapp's men though responded to the injustice, with Gareth Bale pulling a goal back shortly after going two behind.

Controversy reared its head again, as questions were raised as to whether Cech should have seen red for a foul on Adebayor in the build up to the goal.

There were worrying scenes for Chelsea fans as David Luiz was stretchered off with an injury.

A delightful pass from Mata allowed Ramires to go 1 on 1 with Cudicini and the Brazillian made no mistakes to give Chelsea some breathing space.

Another spectacular goal saw Chelsea go 4-1 up, as Frank Lampard slammed home his free kick from distance.

Tempers flared towards the end of the match as Scott Parker reacted to a sly kick from John Obi Mikel, with the Nigerian lucky to escape a red card.

Florent Malouda rubbed salt in the Spurs wound as he scored Chelsea's fifth to cap off a strong Chelsea performance.

dah!mtanange ndo leo ko 2candikie mate, but naomba wakuu 2siwe mbali na thread kuendelea kunotice mwenendo wa refa na kujuzana, guwd luck 2 all!!!!!!:majani7::target::kev:

Hah! hah! hah! Kamuulize Fergie kama Barca wanabebwa atakupa ukweli wote. Marefa wote wanafanya makosa. Juzi tumeona Refa akikubali goli "hewa" la Chelsea, does it mean kuwa Chelsea walimhonga refa? How many times have teams benefited from errors made by officials? Wakati JM na Real Madrid yake wanapigwa bao 5 na Barca nani alihongwa?

Kubalini tu kuwa Barca ni level nyingine!!!

Conspiracy theories zitakuwepo daima. Wapo wanaosema Osama hakuuwawa na wamarekani, wengine wanasema no man has landed on the moon, na wengine wanadai Balali hajafa. So sioni ajabu kusikia kuwa wengine wanadai Baraca wan share UEFA!!!

Tukubali jamaa wako level nyingine and Messi is not human!
