Sarri on Luiz and Fabregas new deals: "I think David and Cesc are leaders so it is very important for me, the staff and the team-mates that they stay with us. I know the difficulties of the new deal." #CFC

Interesting that Maurizio Sarri thinks the over-30 policy is a barrier to keeping two players he wants, Fabregas and Luiz. He thinks they aren't easy to replace either... #CFC

Maurizio Sarri press conference round up:
1️⃣Hopes Luiz-Cesc follow Azpi and renew deals
2️⃣Says it will be difficult though
3️⃣Alonso was injured vs Fulham
4️⃣Kovacic too but both fit, RLC improving in his style of play
5️⃣Won't talk about Pulisic

#CFC

Maurizio needs to trust in form players tomorrow. With Kova and Alonso struggling for fitness/form. Ruben and Emerson should start and deserve to have a chance to do so #WOLCHE #CFC

Belive me, Sarri hapedi kubadilisha 1st 11 yake, Wachezaji 10 wataendelea kupata nafasi zao kwenye ligi a Euopa

I've thought about this for a while now, Mourinho, Conte and now Sarri keep certain players at Chelsea that cannot take us forward.

They do because they are only able to buy if we sell, or if they can add to the squad, it's around £32m.

The board think about short term. #CFC

Azpilicueta 29, Luiz 31, Willian 30, Fabregas 31. Ku renew mkataba ya hawa wachezaji ni kuwanyima wachezaji wadogo nafasi. Sina Imani kama wana room ya ku improve hawa. Bora hata Fabregas ni backup ya Jorginho ila hao wengne mmmmmh.

Azpilicueta amesain karibuni. Na msimu huu kaanza ovyo sana. Cahill part 2. David Luiz na Fab bado

We are never winning Pl or Cl anytime soon if Luiz, Alonslow & Azpi are still starting for us in a back 4, all 3 need to be upgraded.

In the 2016/17 season Guardiola inherited a squad with Kolarov, Sagna and Clichy as fullbacks. City came 4th and both Guardiola and the City board knew their squad was too old. City bought Mendy, Danilo and Walker that summer and they have arguably the best defence in the league

Luiz, Willian, Morata, Alonso, Zappacosta and Drinkwater need to be sold ASAP. With the £150m million you’d get from the sales you could buy 3 world class players suited to SarriBall.
Unfortunately we know this won’t happen as Sarri likes the oldies and the board is awful

"Eden is very important for us,like every special player. He's important for his club.I think the club is available to sign a new contract immediately, but it's up to him if he wants to renew or not.I want Eden here, but I want him here if he wants to stay here.”-Sarri #CFC

“I know very well that there are discussions between the club and the manager of Eden every week I think, so if there is something new, the club will call me immediately.”

City are actually scared of teams with fast wingers because if when their press fails, their full-backs are always out of position. Liverpool and Lyon have proved this. Unfortunately, Chelsea don't have that weapon. I do not how we can hurt them.
