Ahead of the January transfer window Jose Mourinho declared publicly that he would prefer to finish the season with the group of players that he already had at his disposal, but the signs suggest that there could be late transfer drama at Stamford Bridge.
The biggest deal the Blues are set to conclude ahead of the transfer deadline is for Juan Cuadrado, who was in attendance for the 1-1 draw against Manchester City, as Chelsea agreed to meet his £27 million release fee. It is also expected that Mohamed Salah will go the over way to Fiorentina in a loan-to-buy option.
German international Andre Schurrle will be the most notable departure this winter. The World Cup winner has struggle to compete with the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar and Willian for playing time, and is to link-up with former Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne at Bundesliga club Wolfsburg in a £22 million switch.
But will Chelsea and Mourinho be finished there?
The Blues currently possess a first team that is capable of beating anyone in Europe on their day but the second-string have looked a long way from Mourinhos preferred XI and if theyre to be successful on multiple fronts, as well as give themselves the best chance of winning the Premier League as possible, then the squad could do with bolstering.
In terms of priorities the defence is probably the area in which Chelsea ought to look at strengthening the most. There is a worrying lack of leadership when John Terry is absent, Gary Cahill looks increasingly shaky and Filipe Luis has not been convincing. But it is unlikely that any target of the required quality, like a Raphaël Varane, can be landed until the summer and Kurt Zouma looks capable of solving a few issues on his own already.
Its far more likely that the club will continue to bolster their attack with Shakhtar Donetsks Douglas Costa still on the radar and the Brazilian is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge and link-up with his former team mate Willian. There has also been reports that the Blues may make a surprise move for West Hams Enner Valencia, who can play wide or at forward, and are willing to meet the £20 million asking price.
Everyone likes a new signing and Chelsea do need to expand their options as the manager has struggled to make an impact with his substitutions from the bench and it has proved difficult to rotate effectively, but no one wants to see the latest busted flush like Salah arrive only to end up out on his ear 12 months later.

I will take Schurle before Cuadrado!Huyu mwakani usajili kama huu mtampeleka kwa mkopo huko huko Italy
Cuadrado then went on to say that he hopes to bring plenty of trophies and be a part of a successful period in the history of the west London club."We are a big club, so winning important things [is the aim]. Playing for this team, the league championship is I think the most important thing," Cuadrado said. "As for everything else, Chelsea have big players so we want to win big things. Best wishes to all of the Chelsea fans. I hope to perform for them in the best possible way and I hope we can achieve a lot of things together."With the Colombian's wing wizadry making him one of the most exciting players at the 2014 World Cup last summer, it is time to see if he can cut it in the PL and add a different dimension to Chelsea's attack with his jinxing runs and pinpoint crosses. With Eden Hazard, Willian and Oscar to compete with, Cuadrado will have to work hard to get in the team but will add something slightly different which could prove vital down the stretch for Mourinho's men.Juan Cuadrado talks about "dream" move to Chelsea, hails Jose Mourinho | ProSoccerTalk

Hebu mkuu angalia hii article then uone km huyu dogo haruhusiwi kucheza Champions League.
Chelsea have emerged from a week of complicated negotiations by signing the Colombia winger Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina for a fee that could rise to £26.8m, the largest outlay by a Premier League club on this transfer deadline day.
Cuadrados arrival on a four-and-a-half-year contract was confirmed as the clock ticked towards Mondays 11pm transfer deadline, with Mohamed Salah going the other way on a six-month loan as part of the deal. Yet the signing was effectively financed by the £24m sale of André Schürrle to Wolfsburg after 18 months at Stamford Bridge, a deal pushed through by the Bundesliga side just before the early evening cut-off in Germany.

Whereas the World Cup winner had become a bit-part player, making only five Premier League starts this season, Cuadrado will expect to play an integral part in a Chelsea team who lead the Premier League by five points and face a Champions League knockout tie with Paris Saint-Germain in two weeks time. The 26-year-old is eligible to play in that competition and, once clearance has been granted, should be involved in the squad for Saturdays trip to Aston Villa.
First of all I am very happy and thankful for this opportunity Ive been given, said Cuadrado on Chelsea TV. This is a great club and, honestly, it is like a dream to join the Chelsea family and to know that the manager believes in me.
The best part of this dream is knowing I am going to be part of such a big club. That is a huge motivation to perform well. I am a quick and positive player and I hope to show that out on the field and help all my team-mates.
It is amazing that I am going to be working with one of the best coaches anywhere in the world. Im very proud to be playing for him. I think he will help me grow into a better player. We are a big club so we want to win important things. Playing for this team, winning the league championship is the most important thing, I think. As for everything else, Chelsea have big players so we want to win big things. I hope we can achieve a lot together.
