I believe landscaping is yet to be completed at the new state house. Also, Dodoma has a semi-arid climate — that’s what defines the area, so it’s ridiculous that you’re mocking a naturally occurring characteristic. I agree that, in terms of architecture, the new building doesn’t fit into its surroundings. But you are being Islamophobic by calling it a mosque! It’s not a mosque. That’s Swahili architecture and it’s absolutely beautiful. The state house in Nairobi was originally the official residence of the governer of British East Africa. It takes features of European architecture, notably its pediment and Roman columns. But the Tanzanian state house is local — the original building is in Dar, a Swahili city.
