There are those people, who thought that CCM will relinquish power on a platter, they were wrong. They never knew that CCM thugs are used to power and they will do anything possible under the sun to remain in power warning the Americans and British colonial masters not to interfere despite the opposition crying foul.
Never in the history of this country had the majority of people voted for the opposition in the country regarded as the haven of peace, time will tell what will happen next.
Jakaya Kikwete is in dilemma because he knows and the majority knew time is up for him and his party. He might not survive the full 5 year term as he has gone into the path where nobody dared to go. He will need all the support from his close friends whom he thinks will help him including his own son who wields a lot of power within the inner circle but ridiculed by scholars as a failure. The people of Tanzania spoke with their votes, now its time for action to those who can read between the lines. The damage has been done and a lot of Tanzanians will never trust this Government for a very very long time to come. The people will know that they're on their own and should do anything possible to survive and fight the foreign occupation in the name of EAC. The worth of this country is given just like tokens to those chosen by Jakaya Kikwete and his thugs, no wonder his campaign was feigned by his wife, cousins, chickens, cows and his children but not the party.
What will happen next is anybody's guess, but people aren't stupid and time will tell who the real winners are.
