US Election Coverage 2008

US Election Coverage 2008

But is G. W. Bush Wannabe...McCain had a good line. Obama had a good debate...

Waiting for NM's spin(s)....

Mind you....good debates don't win elections....ask Dukakis, Mondale, Gore, Kerry.....

Nyani,
It is all over but the shouting. Umeona instant polls za CNN na (hata?) Fox? The majority of the independents are breaking for Obama.
It is not too late to join the bandwagon. We still have room for you.

wazee mimi naona campaign trail imewafanya both candidates wawe wachovu lalini naona toll inakuwa severe kwa senator wa AZ kuna kipindi I thought Sen. McCain bed time was due kwa sababu ya facial xpression...kama umeangalia kwenye big screen utakuwa umegundua hilo.

It's over according to who? The pundits? Well, it may be over with them (the Pundits) but the people haven't decided yet...

Notice...after the zinger Obantu cut down on mentioning Bush......

That was a highlight reel moment....

But the truth is Kibabu has supported more than 90% of Kichaka's policies and that is why he won't be the next president of United States of America. People are tired of same old policies which have been in use for the past 8 years to the detriment of America. C ya in 2012.

so what is all these debate for???kwani between Mama Clinton na Obama who won the debate??

Exactly my point!!!! Mama creamed Obantu each time they debated but guess what.....you guessed it!!!

Mchungaji Kishoka, Icadon, Bubu, Yo Yo, naomba tumpongeze kidogo Nyani, Babu kajitahidi leo!

Susuviri,

The debates are meant to persuade the independent and undecided voters.

Yes McCain gave an outstanding perfomance but to the wrong crowd.

He was showing his muscles to his base, the Republicans, assuring them that he is tough, he will cut tax, reduce spending, rid big government and more the Pro-Life. McCain worked hard to convience his base that he is a true conservative.

Even the statement "I am not George Bush" has come to late even though the rest of his policies, sounded similar to Bush and some of us who admired McCain of 2000, he has failed to proove that he is still a Maverick.

What he (McCain) failed to do is to connect himself with Independents and convincingly win their votes or sway their undecided vote to him.

His stand on health, education, economy showed him to be similar to Bush.

His strong opinion on Roe versus Wade and repeatdly criticizing Pro-Choice rather than showing respect to difference of opinion will hurt him most wih the Women voting block.

One would even question if this is how he strongly feels about abortion and his claim to be the top ProLife individual, how and why he even considered Joe Lieberman or Tom Ridge two strong Pro-Choice individuals to serve under him? If he were to become and president and Joe or Tom were his vice president and an opening at supreme court comes to his table, who would he have chosen?

However he convincingly damaged himself to independents was to show these independents that he does not have sound judgment, he is just like Washington and all the straight talk express is to nowhere.

Worse enough was his failure to sell his own vice president choice!

So, my final verdict is that he has been able to rally his base and party and show that he has a back bone and he is true to the core values of Republican Party, but failed miserably to win over Independents and Democrats!

He also failed to paint Obama as risky as some of his supporters had wanted. Therefore he failed to whip Obama's ass as he had promised. Watch the polls go up on our side from now on. I still leave the door open for Nyani to join the bandwagon.

The way Sen. McCain alivyo promise kwamba "I will whoop his you know...", mimi nilijua kwamba moto atakao uleta utachoma nyumba, but Obama akawa anamvutia kwenye kona yake ili amtupie makombora ya palling with terrorists...several times..nikaona Babu alikuwa mwangalifu mpaka baadae akala ndoano lakini this Harvard alma matter is so good.

Babu in action....Grrrrrrrr

FWIW, kwenye swali la free trade na Colombia, Obama alipata kigugumizi kidogo. Wall Street Journal, wameiangalia economic plan yake wameipa thumbs down. Sasa nimeanza kuwa cautiously optimistic na matokeo ya Nov 4 na hadi kura zinahesabiwa zote it is not over.

Tusijekuwa tunamshangilia na kumshabikia Obama halafu kwenye kupiga kura hatuendi, low voter turnout, in part, cost the dems the last time around, who thought W would get a second term?

Haya usiku mwema Nyani, nenda upake Vaseline kupooza vidonda!

Hii ni ya lala salama!
