US Election Coverage 2008

Duh hii thread naona imechukua turns za kila aina kuanzia watu kuandika gaynese mpaka sasa hivi watu wanapeana historia....!!!

I dislike you but I have to give credit where it's due. You are right on!! If a monkey manages to do all of that to you, then obviously you are lower or dumber than that monkey. Good comeback Raj.

Lets face it Monkey Supporter: the fact of the matter is Obama the Black beat Caucasian Clinton in the actual vote tally to win the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Thats it and thats that. Nobody gives a hoot if fringe clowns like "Mr Braun" call Obama a slave and despise him for simply being Black. Obama won. Clinton lost. Case closed.

Applying more or less the same line of reasoning, I, for one, do not stand the very sight of Wadosi scum and think they all resemble monkeys. But regardless of my subjectively held beliefs and prejudices, this doesn't stop busines savvy suave monkeys like Manji from enriching themselves through illicit wheeling and dealing in my very own country.

So you are referring to Manji as a Monkey, fine. But let me ask you a question, if a Monkey (Manji) manages to outsmart, exploit and get rich off your back what does that make or say about you?

Refer to comments made above.

Thats beyond the issue. The fact that you've conceded (at least implicitly) that you as a Mdosi most probably are descended from slaves and coolies brought to Africa from India, and African American Obama is not is all that matters here.

Oh really? Then why was the person wearing the T-shirt that says "Obama is my slave" assaulted? See the quote below from the story I posted

When a 25-year-old Manhattan graduate student who was assaulted Tuesday night got dressed that morning, she probably didn’t anticipate that her T-shirt would provoke four teens into shoving her, pulling out her earphones and spitting in her face.

Obviously somebody cares (at least four teens). Obviously you care as you wouldn't have replied to my post.

I am not going to address this monkey business any further because it will simply lead to me being banned from the forum. I have made my point so I'll let you have the last laugh on this point.

By any definition of the word slavery or slaves, it could certainly be applied towards Africans during colonialism. In fact during colonialism, Africans had it worse than "Wadosi" when you really look at it. But again being a descendant of a slave is not the reason why "Mr. Braun" called Obama his slave. We have gone through this explanation. I don't care to repeat myself.

Dar Si lamu, mimi naona kwamba hi thread imebadilika katika mazungumzo kwa sababu hivi sasa GOP wameishiwa point, na wanaona kwamba the only 'strong' point that McCain had was Iraq, and he admitted it will make or break him, lakini inaonekana hii ya alMaliki kusema hadharani that he wants the Americans to leave ASAP and implicitly endorsing Obama's plan is a HUGE blow na saa hizi wako katika damagae contol but it is to late. So now they have nothing to argue about, wamebaki kutumia racism and some very base techniques. Sasa ndo unaona hizo t-shirts au angalia a state senator mzima anafanya upuuzi gani:

Wakikosa hoja huleta vioja!!

Nadhani kuna misunderstanding hapa, maana BIscuit maine alifikiri unatetea hii issue. Lakini labda ungetueleza lengo la kupost this story.
I find it very disgusting and offensive for someone to wear a tshirt like that and it is downright racist.

Come on, don't excuse Biscuit's racist rant towards "Wadosi" as misunderstanding. If I had break out a similar rant towards Africans I would have been banned immediately from the forum no matter the circumstances. As far as the story is concerned I am not endorsing it, I simply posted it because I found it interesting and related to this thread.

But again being a descendant of a slave is not the reason why "Mr. Braun" called Obama his slave. We have gone through this explanation. I don't care to repeat myself.

Who are you trying to fool now, Monkey Supporter? You just claimed above that "Mr. Braun" did what he did because Obama happens to be Black. This is what you wrote earlier:

The article I posted already states why "Mr. Braun" calls Obama his slave. The reason is Obama is black and "Mr. Braun" does not like him (Obama). What kind of Black or Obama's ancestry is irrelevant to "Mr. Braun".

Now what exactly made you arrive to that kind of conclusion when in the article we are told that:

"I can't stand Obama," Braun says, adding that it's not because the Illinois senator is black. "That's the only thing I like about him. He opens the door for other minorities."

So, its clear that you are dead wrong! "Mr. Braun" has nothing against Obama's Blackness and in fact appreciates the visibility that Obama carries it with him.

You are still up to your old ways of twisting and bending the simple truth in order to fit your narrow anti-African agenda, aren't you, Monkey Supporter?

I have not excused Biscuit! I have personally been outspoken critic of racism on this forum, the moderators can testify to that! I don't tolerate racism in any form!
But I was more interested in your opinion because you started this discussion by posting the article and pix. You said you found it 'intersting' not shocking, disgusting, racist, moronic etc. Why did you just find it interesting? What is interesting in an incident of a racist person who gets beaten up for wearing a racist t-shirt?

Biscuit, I think that this can be an interesting discussion, but we should avoid name-calling because it degenerates any intellectual debate into base, ugly shouting matches.
The fear of many whites is that Obama will opne the door for minorities, and there are African Americans who think that Obama presidency will mean more Black power, but I think that Obama is new generation not Anko Jesse (Jackson) generation and he thinks differently. Just see the controversial remarks of Jesse Jackson Sr on Fox news, he thinks that Obama is selling out, but he doesn't understand that for BO it is not about civil rights movement, it is about United America.
I find the t-shirt incident a minor blimp on the radar and there is more to come, but it is good because the more virulent, racist people are, the more support BO gets!

Nice attempt but not even close. Let's look closely at the sentence that you quoted

The reason is Obama is black and "Mr. Braun" does not like him (Obama).

Mr. Braun admitted that when people see Obama they see a slave. Why? What is about Obama that would make anyone see a slave according to Mr. Braun? Obviously it's because he is black (duh!). So there goes the first part of what I wrote i.e. "The reason is Obama is black".

Now for the second part, Mr. Braun admitted that he can't stand Obama (this is in the article I posted, I am not lying look it up). Hence the second part of my sentence i.e. "Mr. Braun does not like him".

So you see Biscuit Maine, the conclusion you came up with about what I wrote is entirely in your head. You are just seeing things that are not there.

You are still up to your old ways of twisting and bending the simple truth in order to fit your narrow anti-African agenda, aren't you, Monkey Supporter?

I have no such agenda.

No, there was no need for me to use those adjectives i.e. shocking, disgusting, racist, moronic, etc. I would have used them if you too would have used those same adjectives on what Biscuit's posted about "Wadosi" but you haven't so far. If you had taken this moral upper-hand then perhaps I might have and your question would have been answered.

The Truth, you can't see the forest from the trees. What you and Biscuit have done is degenerate into name calling, I am not interested in that. I am asking about your original post which I have qualified . But you want to take this into another direction. This thread has been a good place to debate many different issues but what you have done collectively with Biscuit is to degenerate this dialogue to childish tirades.
What was the original intent of your post? Why did you find it interesting? I am not a school teacher or parent trying to decide between two quarelling children! I am interested in your take on the issue. If you want to act as if you are so offended by something that I did not say, that's your right and I will continue to debate other issues with other members like Icadon - issues that are constructive to this thread. Siku njema, brother!

Ok, another media 'myth' has been viciously terminated about Barack Obama:
Sasa Babu Lieberman naona ni afadhali abaki kumshauri babu McCain alafu watakapomaliza usanii wao waende wakapumzike kama retirees (I am sure hata hiyo senate seat yake haijakaa vizuri)

Susuviri, I have no doubt at all that you know more about these kinds of issues than I'd ever bother to pursue or follow up myself on the internet and media. I respect your opinion, and wouldn't agree more with you that we all ought to engage in decent objective debating and avoid use of name calling and expletives.

Heee! naona utotozi Nyani inakuwaje mtu mzima Ngabu?

Obama's wristband honors a slain soldier

Barack Obama is wearing a wristband in memory of a soldier killed in Iraq, given to him by a mother who said she wants the Democratic presidential candidate to keep others from dying.

Tracy Jopek of Merrill, Wis., gave Obama the bracelet at a rally Friday night in Green Bay, and Obama was still wearing it Saturday as he campaigned across the state before Tuesday's primary.

The bracelet has her son's name, Sgt. Ryan David Jopek, and the date the 20-year-old was killed in Iraq by a roadside bomb, Aug. 2, 2006. "All gave some -- He gave all," it says.

"She gave me this wristband, which I'm very grateful for," Obama told the Green Bay audience, halting and lowering his voice from his normally upbeat presentation. "I meet mothers and family members all over the country who are still mourning their children but are also thinking about the young men and women who are still over there and wondering when it will end."

Obama has not made a point of showing it to reporters or others on the campaign trail. A campaign staffer described it as black metal band with silver lettering.

but on a more serious note, kile kinatokana na kuwa akili yake inaenda spidi na mdomo wake unachelewa.
