US Election Coverage 2008

Is Hillary winning???
Well I've always thought you win by WINNING! And, so far, Hillary Clinton is... Behind in pledged delegates. Behind in Super Delegates. Behind in the popular vote. Behind in number of states won. Behind in fund raising. Behind in daily tracking polls. Behind in likeablility polls. Behind in trustworthyness polls. Behind in every single metric. Will SOMEBODY please explain to me just exactly HOW she is winning?

Msimamo wangu niliuweka wazi tokea mapema kuwa kama Mama asipopata uteuzi basi nahama kambi. Sasa gumu kuelewa hapa ni nini? John Super McCain, the American President American People have been waiting for, will win the election. Halafu McCain sio conservative kama mnavyowajua maconservative. He is a moderate guy and a maverick. He does it his own way and doesn't necessarily follow where the wind in blowing (like some of you guys here)

Nyani,

Mcbush ndio anajifunza ugangwe kutoka kwa kaka yake? Anasema "am a thug, the thugnificent, gangsterlicious do a hommie"!

NN mwambie mshikaji wako Hannity atapoteza kazi akiendelea kumkandia Obama...check this out...

The founder -- and defender -- of Fox News said he expected Obama to win in a landslide, citing widespread unhappiness with the current administration and his disenchantment with Republican contender John McCain. Murdoch added that after a long career in the Senate, McCain had been forced to compromise too much and doesn't stand for much. Murdoch even nonchalantly owned up to influencing the New York Post to back Obama in the New York primary.

During the Q&A, I pressed Murdoch -- a new U.S. citizen -- on whether he would actually vote for Obama in November. He said he was leaning toward it, but would know in the next six months. When I asked if I could call him, he said yes, then joked I could probably just figure it out from reading the Post.

Halafu kwenye kanisa la Obama kuna laana gani? Mmeona huyu Father mwingine alivyokuwa akihubiri....

nyani ushauri wa bure kubalu yaishe, ili uweze kujipanga upya mpambanaji kwa hili mkuu umenawishwa bila ya kutia mkono bakulini

Marekani kuna separation of church and state. Trinity should tread very carefully right now as they are under the microscope. It's not appropriate for them to be pushing that kind of political rhetoric from the pulpit.

I understand that this fella Pfleger is a Catholic priest.

Shouldn't Hillary be instead (or at least also) demanding an apology or some sort of "specific rejection" from Pope Benedict XVI?

The US Democratic Party is meeting to decide the fate of two states left out of the dramatic race to find its candidate for president.

Both Florida and Michigan were stripped of representation for holding their candidate contests in January, in violation of party rules.

Hillary Clinton hopes the party will reverse its decision in the two states, where she has enjoyed strong support.

She is lagging behind Barack Obama in the closing days of the race.

The 30 members of the Democratic party's rules and bylaws committee are meeting in the ballroom of a Washington hotel.

Outside about 200 protesters holding placards gathered chanting "Count our vote".

But whatever the outcome of the committee's meeting, Barack Obama is still almost certain to cross the finishing-line in first place,

Barack Obama resigned Saturday from his Chicago church - where controversial sermons by his former pastor and other ministers had created repeated political headaches for the frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination, his campaign confirmed Saturday.

Obama plans to hold a news conference after the town hall meeting he is presntly holding in Aberdeen, South Dakota, the campaign said.

Democratic Party has taken a compromise decision on delegates from Florida and Michigan, two states barred from choosing a presidential candidate.

Both states' delegates will be allowed to attend August's convention, but will only have half a vote each.

Tuweke sawa hapo sijaelewa haya mambo kwa msisitizo zaidi naomba kwa kiswahili, samahani mkuu
