Muhammad at 60 Takes 17-Year-Old Safiyah as Sex-slave

After securing beautiful Safiyaah daughter of Huyayy for himself, Prophet Muhammad bedded her in his tent on the same night. Here is the story: Merciful Prophet asked Bilal, the Negro crier of prayer to fetch Safiyyah to his (Muhammad's) camp. Bilal brought Safiyyah and her cousin straight across the battlefield strewn with dead-bodies, passing by the corpses of Kinana and his cousin. The two cousins of Safiyyah shrieked in horror when they witnessed the gruesome scene of the dead-bodies of their dear and near relatives. When brought to his presence, Muhammad cast his mantle around Safiyyah indicating that she was to be his own. Muhammad consoled a frustrated Dhiya by giving him Safiyyah's cousin sisters. According to Ibn Sa'd Prophet Muhammad purchased Safiyyah from Dhiyah for seven camels. On the same night, Muhammad took Safiyyah to bed. This was, of course, an exemplary character of the holy Prophet of Islam!

Here is what Ibn Sa'd writes:

"-.when it was night, he entered a tent and she entered with him. Abu Ayyub came there and passed the night by the tent with a sword keeping his head at the tent. When it was morning and the Apostle of Allah, may Allah bless him."

To hide the lascivious character of Muhammad, Muslim biographers often mention that he married Safiyyahh before he slept with her. But they forget to mention that Muhammad did not follow the rule of waiting period (three monthly periods) to sleep with Safiyyahh. He slept with her the same day she was captured.

The Hadith historically recorded Muhammad's personal ownership of black slaves, "So I went to the upper room where the Prophet was and said to a black slave of his, will you get the permission of the Prophet for Umar (to enter)?"[6] The biographies of the prophet had named several of his black slaves as Bilal, Abu Hurairah, Usamah ebn Zaayed, and Rabbah. One particular male African slave, named Mahran, was re-named Safina (ship), by Muhammad. From the anonymous author's book, Behind the Veil: Unmasking Islam, Mahran (Safina) recounted his ordeal:

"The apostle of God and his companions went on a trip. (When) their belongings became too heavy for them to carry, Muhammad told me, ‘spread your garment.' They filled it with their belongings, then they put it on me. The apostle of God told me, ‘carry (it), for you are a ship.' Even if I was carrying the load of six or seven donkeys while we were on a journey, anyone who felt weak would throw his clothes or his shield or his sword on me so I would carry that, a heavy load. The prophet told me, ‘you are a ship'" (refer to Ibn Qayyim, pp. 115-116; al-Hulya, vol. 1, p. 369, quoted from Ahmad 5:222).[7]

Repeatedly, Muhammad described Ethiopians as raisin heads and infidels.[8] He once dreamed of a black woman and assumed this was representative of an evil omen or coming epidemic.[9] Other traditions quoted him saying blacks were pug-nosed slaves. Since it is clear that Muhammad had an aversion toward Africans (blacks), his animosity of racial bigotry denoted the true nature of his disdain toward other ethnic people.

Except for murder, slavery has got to be one of the most immoral things a person can do.- Yet slavery is rampant throughout the Bible in both the Old and New Testaments.- The Bible clearly approves of slavery in many passages, and it goes so far as to tell how to obtain slaves, how hard you can beat them, and when you can have sex with the female slaves.

The following passage describes how the Hebrew slaves are to be treated.

If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years.- Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom.- If he was single when he became your slave and then married afterward, only he will go free in the seventh year.- But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife will be freed with him.- If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master.- But the slave may plainly declare, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children.- I would rather not go free.'- If he does this, his master must present him before God.- Then his master must take him to the door and publicly pierce his ear with an awl.- After that, the slave will belong to his master forever.- (Exodus 21:2-6 NLT)

Notice how they can get a male Hebrew slave to become a permanent slave by keeping his wife and children hostage until he says he wants to become a permanent slave.- What kind of family values are these?

The following passage describes the sickening practice of sex slavery.- How can anyone think it is moral to sell your own daughter as a sex slave?

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are.- If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again.- But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her.- And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter.- If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife.- If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment.- (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

So these are the Bible family values!- A man can buy as many sex slaves as he wants as long as he feeds them, clothes them, and screws them!

What does the Bible say about beating slaves?- It says you can beat both male and female slaves with a rod so hard that as long as they don't die right away you are cleared of any wrong doing.

When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished.- If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property.- (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)

You would think that Jesus and the New Testament would have a different view of slavery, but slavery is still approved of in the New Testament, as the following passages show.

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear.- Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ.- (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)

Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed.- If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. -You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts.- Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them. -(1 Timothy 6:1-2 NLT)

In the following parable, Jesus clearly approves of beating slaves even if they didn't know they were doing anything wrong.

The servant will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty, he refused to do it.- "But people who are not aware that they are doing wrong will be punished only lightly.- Much is required from those to whom much is given, and much more is required from those to whom much more is given."- (Luke 12:47-48 NLT)

Church apologises for slave trade

The Church of England has voted to apologise to the descendants of victims of the slave trade. An amendment "recognising the damage done" to those enslaved was backed overwhelmingly by the General Synod.
Debating the motion, Rev Simon Bessant, from Pleckgate, Blackburn, described the Church's involvement in the trade, saying: "We were at the heart of it."
The amendment was supported by Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams and Archbishop of York John Sentamu.
Dr Williams said the apology was "necessary".
He said: "The body of Christ is not just a body that exists at any one time, it exists across history and we therefore share the shame and the sinfulness of our predecessors and part of what we can do, with them and for them in the body of Christ, is prayer for acknowledgement of the failure that is part of us not just of some distant 'them'."

During an emotional meeting of the Church's governing body in London, Rev Blessant explained the involvement of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts in the slave trade.
The organisation owned the Codrington Plantation in Barbados, where slaves had the word "society" branded on their backs with a red-hot iron, he said.

He added that when the emancipation of slaves took place in 1833, compensation was paid not to the slaves but to their owners.
In one case, he said the Bishop of Exeter and three colleagues were paid nearly £13,000 in compensation for 665 slaves.
He said: "We were directly responsible for what happened. In the sense of inheriting our history, we can say we owned slaves, we branded slaves, that is why I believe we must actually recognise our history and offer an apology."
The synod passed a motion acknowledging the "dehumanising and shameful" consequences of slavery.
It comes ahead of commemorations of the 200th anniversary of the Slave Trade Act of 1807, which will be marked next year.
The debate heard from descendants of the slave trade including the Rev Nezlin Sterling, of Ealing, west London, who represents black churches. She told the synod that commemorations of the 200th anniversary would revive "painful issues and memories" for descendants.
The apology comes after Dr Williams was criticised in November for saying that missionaries "sinned" by imposing hymns ancient and modern on places such as Africa.
