The Government of Tanzania is concerned with the false allegations made by the NRPUP Presidential Candidate in Zambia, Mr. Brian Mundubile, claiming that Tanzania sent individuals to Zambia with the intention of interfering with and disrupting the country's general elections held on 13th August 2026.
The Government takes these allegations seriously and through the Tanzanian High Commission in Zambia, has written to the Government of Zambia seeking detailed clarification on the basis upon which the candidate made these un-founded allegations.
The Government of Tanzania wishes to reassure Tanzanians and the interna-tional community that it has not sent anyone to interfere with or disrupt Zam-bia's elections and has no such practice.
As is the case with other member states of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), Tanzania has a representation of election observers in Zambia who are carrying out their duties in accordance with SADC election ob-servation guidelines, alongside other observers present in Zambia. Their role is to observe the electoral process and not to interfere in the elections, as al-leged by Mr. Brian Mundubile.

Brian Mundubile.
