Should African Countries Recognize The Libyan Rebels?

Matokeo yake ni hizi financial/debt/recession/unemployment crises tunazoziona US na European countries. The cancer is still spreading and is going to get worse. US kwa kujihami itaendelea kuanzisha na kupigana vita kila pembe ya dunia (kama mazoea). Mwisho wa siku vita haitaiimarisha US na mashoga zake bali itawadhoofisha kwa sababu watakuwa wana-misdirect scarce resources. Nionavyo mimi a new world order itazaliwa kutokana na vurugu hizo kama ilivyotokea baada ya Vita Kuu ya Pili ya Dunia ambapo US iliibuka kama a new superpower. Siyo ndoto kusema kuwa Vita Kuu ya Tatu ya Dunia inakaribia. Swali ni, je, Afrika itaendelea kuwa uwanja tu wa wababe na wajanja au na yenyewe itakuwa mchezaji? Sioni matayarisho.

Abdullahim, faida au benefits za "opportunism" unazoziona ni zipi? Tukifuata mantiki yako ni kwamba tusipompokea Gaddafi tutazawadiwa na maadui zake, yaani, US na nchi za Magharibi. Lakini hizi nchi zinachotafuta ni kuiba resources zetu, yakiwemo mafuta ya Libya. Tatizo letu, na hasa viongozi wetu, ni hiyo skewed mindset kuwa hawa watu wanatusaidia badala ya sisi kuwasaidia wao. Gaddafi, pamoja na udhaifu wake mwingine, aliliona hilo. Sijui kazi ya African Union (AU) ni nini hasa?
 
Ubaguzi ni kitu kibaya sana, tena sana hasa kwenye ulimwengu huu wa utandawazi na miunganiko ya nchi na nchi kama EAC .

Lakini kama unabaguliwa ufanyaje? Ujipendekeze au?

Kinachoendelea Libya kuwatarget wahamiaji weusi ni kutokana na unafiki wao wa kujipendekeza kwa gadaffi pamoja na mamluki wenye ngozi nyeusi waloingia kule kumsaidia Gadaffi. Hili nalifananisha na hapa kwetu,watu wenye asili ya kiasia ni wabaguzi balaa,ni walarushwa na watoa rushwa balaa,ni wanafiki kujifanya wafadhili wa ccm ili kuendelea kutunyonya. Wanaishi mjini sie tunazidi kusogezwa nje ya mji!!

Hospitali nzuri za kutibiwa wao,mavogue na mav8 ni yao ....nk !huwezi ukawakuta kwenye kudai haki za jamii kwa kuwa wao ndo wanazikalia!huwezi kuwakuta kwenye vyama vya upinzani no matter what!!!

Kuna mhindi ofisini kwangu alidiriki kusema machoni kwangu kuwa akitaka kumfukuza mtu kazi anaweza kwenda polisi na kuwahonga and then kujenga mazingira unyang'anywe gari la kampuni na majambazi wa kutengenezwa alafu wafabricate kuwa umeliiba mwenyewe...na kuendelea kujitapa kuwa hapa kwenu hakuna mamlaka isiyohongeka.!

Ujasiri huu wanaupata wapi???tukipata ukombozi wa kweli wa nchi tutawapenda kweli?? Swali langu wanajF ni je kama nabaguliwa nifanyaje mie?

David Cameron Arrives in Libya

David Cameron has landed in Tripoli in the first visit of a major Western leader to Libya since the fall of Col Muammar Gaddafi.

Mr Cameron, the Prime Minister, was joined by Nicolas Sarkozy, the French President, on a visit to meet Libya's new leaders.

After his plane landed, Mr Cameron was greeted at Tripoli airport by Mr Jalil and the head of the NTC's executive board Mahmoud Jibril, as well as the UK's special representative Dominic Asquith.

The leaders are expected to announce a package of assistance to support the country's transition after the end of Gaddafi's 42-year-rule.

Politicians have already had to counter allegations that the visits are intended to guarantee valuable deals for British and French firms.

Francois Baroin, the French finance minister, said the trip was not about economic deals but rather to show support for the rebels.

Mr Baroin, speaking on France-Info radio, said it "is a strong gesture, it is a historic moment to go today to Libya".

Asked whether there were economic arguments for the visit, Mr Baroin said: "We are not at that stage."

Earlier this month, the leaders of the National Transitional Council dismissed suggestions that promises of big deals had been made to Western countries in return for military support.


The visit of the two leaders is, as might be expected, surrounded by secrecy and tight security.
The rebel fighters were reported to have attempted to clear an area of 30 square kilometres of weapons to try to guarantee the politicians' safety.


Mr Sarkozy, who was expected to be accompanied by French philosopher Bernard-Henri Levy, seen by many as a driving force behind the French decision to take military action against Gaddafi, will fly to Tripoli first and then the rebel stronghold of Benghazi.

Jeffrey Feltman, the US assistant secretary of state on Wednesday became the most senior international visitor to arrive in Tripoli since the fall of Col Gaddafi. Read more

Ohhhh....Irag oil was for America, Libya oil for French and British.

Libya: AU to work with NTC on unity govt

The one-day AU high level Ad hoc committee on Libya that took place in Pretoria, South Africa on Wednesday has committed itself to working with the National Transitional Council (NTC) and other Libyan stakeholders towards the goal of the early establishment of an all-inclusive national unity government in Libya.

The French and British leaders arrived in Libya on Thursday to congratulate the new rulers they helped install, but families fleeing besieged bastions of ousted strongman Muammar Gaddafi are a reminder that peace is still far off. The visit is a victory lap for Nicolas Sarkozy and David Cameron, who defied doubters at home to lead a NATO bombing campaign that succeeded in ushering in a victory by forces who swept away Gaddafi's 42-year rule last month.

The Committee also encouraged the African Union Commission to do the same.

This is contained a 3-page communiqué that was issued at the end of the AU high level committee meeting on Libya that was held at the Government Guest House in Pretoria. It was attended by Presidents' Yoweri Museveni of Uganda, Jacob Zuma of South Africa and host of the meeting as well as President Dennis Sassou Nguesso of Congo Brazaville. Mauritania, whose President is the Chairman of the Committee was represented by its Ambassador to South Africa and Mali, another member, was also represented by its envoy in Pretoria.

The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the African Union Commission Dr. Jean Ping and the Commissioner for Peace and Security, Ambassador Ramtane Lamamra.
