Ila mkuu kama ndo hivyo kwa nini wanakimbilia degree feki.. hapo ndo wanapopoteza intergrity yao kwa ujumla' kama ni watu makini na wachapakazi waende hapo open kama kweli wanataka degree au ikiwezekana wabaki na elimu yao hiyo hiyo wananchi wao tutawaamini kwa sababu hata sisi wengi tu hatujasoma na sio kutulaghai na degree za kichina!!
 
Me napenda mtoa mada anifafanulie...Je Lukuvi degree yake ni 'feki' kwa kuwa hakusoma au ni 'feki' kwa kuwa alisoma chuo ambacho hakijakuwa accredited......Baada ya ufafanuzi huo hapo tunaweza kuchangia mada vizuri kwani mara zote naogopa kuchangia mada ambayo siielewi na matokeo yake nikamuhukumu mtu kuwa mkosa kumbe mimi ndo mkosa kwa kuchanganya mambo...Afu kwa ufahamu wangu mdogo hiyo hiyo free encyclopedia siyo reliable kihivyo coz inaweza kuwa edited na mtu yeyote kwa kuongeza information ambazo zinaweza kuwa za kweli au la...Na ndo maana watu wanofanya tafiti huwa pre-advised kuhusu upotoshaji unaoweza fanywa kutoka kwa 'the free encyclopedia'....Sasa hapa naomba nieleweke kuwa sishabikii degree 'feki' ya Lukuvi kama kweli ni hivyo ila najaribu kuchokonoa ili nipate information za kutosha na niweze kurusha makombora yanayofaa....

Usalama wa taifa wanajua kuliko wengi tunavyofikiri. Tatizo ni kwamba kwenye uteuzi wa nyadhifa za uwaziri, hakuna mahalai panaposemwa kuwa elimu ni kigezo. Ukiangalia kwenye cabinet utaona kuna vilaza na maprofesa pamoja, wazugaji na watu makini pamoja.

Si kosa la usalama wa taifa. Ni busara tu ya anayeteua.

1. Chuo hicho hakiko accredited popote duniani, hivyo degree zake ni feki

Washington International University is an unaccredited institution of higher education founded in 1994 and currently incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. It describes itself as a "university without borders," serving clients from around the world via distance education. The university website states that WIU's graduates have come from 112 countries.

The name "Washington International University" is used in promotional materials for other unaccredited distance learning institutions. There are no known accredited institutions by this name, but at least four accredited Washington universities exist: the University of Washington, Washington State University, Washington University in St. Louis and George Washington University (see "Similarity of names" section, below).

Academic programs

The school offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in business, liberal arts and engineering.

The school offers "traditional" and "accelerated" degree programs. The traditional programs require students to complete just ten courses for a bachelor's degree and eight for a master's, along with a senior research project. The accelerated degree program allows completion of any degree within one year. For the accelerated program, according to the university's website, "There are no textbooks to read, curriculum to follow or formal exams to take." For either a bachelor's or a master's degree, a student must submit three book reports on books selected by the student's advisor and a research paper on a topic related to the student's field of study. For the doctorate, students must complete a thesis under the guidance of an instructor.

The university points out on its Web site that its course materials "use simple language so that an average person can understand what is written."

The school's website lists seven faculty members, including two with doctorates, one with Ed.D, three with master's degrees and one with a J.D. degree. According to a newspaper report in 2002, Karademir (the school's owner) called the faculty "advisers", not "professors."

Accreditation status and recognition of degrees

The university has not sought educational accreditation and does not have a campus. As of March 2010, the Oregon Office of Degree Authorization states on its website that WIU is located in the British Virgin Islands and that its degrees are not recognized.

Lack of accreditation has consequences for WIU degree holders in some circumstances. For instance, the Michigan Civil Service Commission lists WIU among unaccredited institutions "from which degrees will not be accepted [...] to satisfy educational requirements indicated on job specifications."

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) lists degrees awarded from WIU as "substandard," meaning according to the THECB in this case, "a degree... conferred outside the United States by an institution that the Coordinating Board determines is not the equivalent of an accredited or authorized degree." The THECB describes WIU as having "[n]o accreditation from a CB (Coordinating Board) recognized accreditor. British Virgin Islands does not have postsecondary oversight capability."

History and locations

The school was founded in the mid-1990s and, as of 1998, was incorporated in Hawaii and the British Virgin Islands, although it was based in Pennsylvania and owned by Yil Karademir, of Lower Merion, Pennsylvania, who ran the university with his wife. According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Hawaii location was meant for forwarding mail and telephone calls to the school's location on the mainland. As of 1998 a building pictured on WIU's website was "where the head of Washington University receives mail and messages", but a two-story house on a residential street in Bryn Mawr was the school's registrar's office where a staff of four took calls from students. Karademir explained to the Inquirer that we "We are entrepreneurs, we are not educators."

Before 1998, the institution now called "Washington International University" used the name "Washington University," but Karademir added "International" to the name in June 1998 as part of the settlement of a lawsuit filed by Washington University in St. Louis. Lawyers from the latter institution had accused Washington International of being "nothing more than a diploma mill", but Mr. Karademir of Washington International University disputed this characterization.

The institution's incorporation in Hawaii was dissolved March 1, 2000. Earlier, the state of Hawaii had brought legal action against the school, alleging that it had deceived consumers by failing to disclose its lack of accreditation. The parties settled the case in 1999; one of the requirements of the settlement was that Washington International dissolve its Hawaii corporation and not promote itself as being incorporated in or registered by the state of Hawaii.

According to Bears' Guide to Earning Degrees by Distance Learning, Washington International started listing a South Dakota mailing address in mid-2000. In 2002 the Argus Leader in Sioux Falls, South Dakota reported that the school had a "small, broom closet-sized office" in that city but no employees. The school used a local secretarial service to answer the telephone and forward mail, and a local lawyer as an agent. For some period thereafter, completed applications to the institution were requested to be forwarded the Student Communication Center in Pennsylvania. Similarly, as of February 2008, the university asks prospective students to forward completed application forms to the Washington Educational Organization in Wilmington, Delaware, and the form states that it is incorporated in British Virgin Islands.

Kama ushauri wa Usalama wa Taifa hauzingatiwi nini kinafuata??? ina maana anayeteua huliweka TAIFA hatarini ilihali UwT wameshamwambia kila detail ya anachotaka kukifanya.
Hii Usalama wa Taifa isiyo na meno inaboa sana. Kuna kitu kinapaswa kufanyika hapo ili iwe hai kama inavyotakiwa.

Hili la uwezo wa Mkulo inaelekea JK analifahamu ndiyo maana anamuwekea Manaibu wawili wawili. Lakini kwa wizara nyeti kama ile ilitakiwa kichwa kiwekwe pale siyo hizo design.

Accreditation doesn't matter but what matters is WHAT THE WIU GRADUATE CAN OFFER TO THE WORLD. MOST OF WIU GRADUATES ARE QUITE GOOD AND HARD WORKING ON THEIR POSITIONS.
WIU SAVES THE POOR WHO CANNOT AFFORD EXPENSIVE FEES BY MOST OF SO CALLED ACCREDITED UNIVESITIES. WIU ALSO GIVES OPPORTUNITY TO THOSE WHO CANNOT MANAGE TO BE IN CLASS FULL TIME. ABOVE ALL WIU's ARE PROPERLY ARRANGED AND ADMINISTERED BY THE VERY SAME PROFESSORS FROM THOSE SO CALLED EXCELLENT UNIVERSITIES BUT TOO EXPENSIVE.
I REPEAT, ACCREDITATION IS NOTHING OTHER THAN WHAT THE GRADUATE IS ABLE TO DO IN THE MARKET. I HAVE SEEN SOME OF THEM AND ARE DOING QUITE GOOD THAN THOSE FROM SO CALLED WELL KNOWN UNIVERSITIES. You can name them.

Hiyo thesis siyo issue maana alimfanyia kijana mmoja anaitwa ngasamiaku kipindi hicho huyu dogo alikua assistant lecture pale department of economics university of dar es salaam.
Kwa sasa ngasamiaku nadhani amegraduate phd UDSM mwaka huu.
Mama Nagu kipindi hicho alimlipa hela nzuri tu huyu kijana kwa ajili ya kuandika hii thesis from the scrach so sidhani kama Nagu anajua hata kilichoandikwa ndani.

Kufikiria atajiuzulu hiyo ni ndoto kwa sababu siku hizi Issue ya kugushi viwango vya Elimu si ya kumfanya mtu ajiuzulu. Hii nikutokana na hali tuliyoishuhudia katika miaka 5 aliyopita, watu wengi wameonekana kuwa na Barchelor/Master/Phd ambazo si halali lakin hakuna anayejali. Hata pale ilipoenda bungeni kwamba alikuwapo mbunge aliyedangaya kupata degree huko Uganda Spika alitoa majibu ya kejeli katika swala hili la msingi. Naamini hata yule Kihiyo original alipo anajilaumu kwanini alijiuzulu. Hatusemi viongozi wawe wasomi, La asha! na ndo maana hata Bungeni safari hii wameingia wahitimu wa darasa la saba na tunaamini ni mwakilishi halali wa wananchi bungeni! Tunasikitishwa na udanganyifu katika viwango vya elimu PERIOD! Tabia hii inaanzakukua kwenye jamii na ndo maana hata wizi wa mitihani unashamili kila kukicha. Madhara ya hili hayaonekani mara moja kwa baadhi ya fani na sehemu walipo lakini ikiingia kwenye fani kama uhandisi na udaktari basi tutajua nikitu gani tunakilea sasa hivi.

So your excuse for not getting a good degree is because you cannot afford it. Yeah right why don't work hard enough to earn it through the appropiate channels instead you are going for a short cut to achieve something below standard? Tatizo lilipo mkuu kama huelewi ni kwamba watu kama hawa ndio decision makers, policy formers, contracts signatories for our countries. Ukiwa mtupu juu sidhani kama utaweza kuwa na vision au kujua kitu gani kinachoendelea. Matokeo tunayaona mikataba mibovu ya madini, hatuna policy za kuokoa uchumi na maisha yanazidi kuwa magumu kwa watanzania. Tutampa ushirikano upi unaotaka?
