Real Madrid have decided to move for N’Golo Kante, therefore losing interest in overpriced Man United target Paul Pogba.

Kante is 5 times cheaper than Pogba rumoured to have a price tag worth over €120m, which has caused Real Madrid’s to change their transfer plans.

There were suggestions earlier this summer that Real Madrid was Pogba’s favoured destination but it now looks likely that Los Blancos are more interested in N’Golo Kante.

Real Madrid will only need to pay just €25m for Kante, which is his release clause at Leicester and a huge factor economically.

According the Spanish sources Zidane has also rejected the opportunity to sign Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes for €65m as he believes he only needs to improve his defensive midfield options.

Currently, only Casemiro can sit in front of the defence, and that highlights the importance of bringing in Kante. Unsurprisingly, Kante is keen to join Real Madrid and play under Zinedine Zidane.

Leicester appear to have already replaced Kante, by signing Nampalys Mendy from Nice for €15m which should make to deal easier to conclude. [Source ABC]

Portuguese Reports are now claiming the 23 year old Brazilian maybe forced to retire!

Real Madrid have pulled out of the race to sign Paul Pogba

Manchester United's path to sign Paul Pogba is now clear after Real Madrid ended their interest in the midfielder for financial reasons, Sky Sports News HQ has been told.
According to sources close to the deal, United's superior financial strength has given them a huge advantage in negotiations with Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, and forced Real to admit defeat in their pursuit of the player.
At this point in negotiations, the basic transfer fee for Pogba is understood to start at around £85m (€100m).
However, when taking into account add-ons and bonuses related to the success of the player and the club - as well as Raiola's fee - the total amount United could pay for Pogba's transfer could reach over £105m (€123m).
