Real Madrid pays tribute to Angel Nieto

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez welcomed the family of former MotoGP driver Angel Nieto, who passed away at the start of August, to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu ahead of Los Blancos' LaLiga game against Real Betis on Wednesday evening.

In the boardroom of the stadium, they were awarded a glittering club badge on Nieto's behalf, with the Zamora-born rider having won iconic 12+1 world championships during his illustrious career.

As well as a badge, Nieto's family were awarded a Real shirt with '12+1' on the back, commemorating the championships that he won.

Ni sheria mpya ilipitishwa na uongozi wa ligi tarehe 1 April mwaka huu, kuwa club inayoshikilia ubingwa itaruhusiwa kutumia wachezaji 12 nyumbani.

Seven explanations for Real Madrid's seven-point gap to Barcelona

Real Madrid look a shadow of the team that defeated Barcelona by a 5-1 aggregate scoreline just over a month ago, while they're also picking up worse results than they did as they won a league and European Cup double last season.
Yet the players are not panicking just yet, with Casemiro urging his teammates to remember what they achieved in 2016/17 and that it is still possible to retain their LaLiga crown.
"We are the same squad as last year," the defensive midfielder said after Wednesday's 1-0 loss to Real Betis.
"We created a lot of chances, but this is football and there are days when the ball doesn't go in.
"We must keep fighting as there is a long way to go.
"This is the same squad that won everything and we will keep working hard."
While Isco did admit in his post-match comments that Real Madrid can find it tough to play at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu if they don't score early, Casemiro wasn't sure there was a problem with playing at home.
"We played here in the Champions League and we won [3-0 against APOEL]," Casemiro pointed out.
One other comment Isco did make was to insist that there is still all to play for in the title race.
"We're only in the fifth week and there is a lot of the league season remaining," the No.22 said.
"But we obviously need to start winning now.
"We are Real Madrid and will fix it.
"Things aren't working for us like they were last year and now we must be more united than ever."
Next up for Los Blancos is this weekend's trip to take on Alaves.

Sergio Ramos: The more Real Madrid talk about refereeing the worse it gets

Criticising the performance of referees could do Real Madrid more harm than good, according to captain Sergio Ramos.

While the centre-back was slightly unhappy with the officiating during Los Blancos' 1-0 defeat to Real Betis, he was hesitant to grumble too much about the performances of the men in the middle.

"The more we talk about the referees the worse it gets," he said after the match.

"We need to respect the officials and hope they try to perform the best way possible.

"I am not surprised that they don't award penalties for us, but that they do for Barcelona."

Despite his concerns with the refereeing, Ramos did admit that Real Madrid need to perform better too and that they should get themselves into positions where a refereeing error does not prove costly.

"However, if we'd scored three goals then we wouldn't be upset about it," he added.

"We have had a frustrating start [to the season], one which is worrying.

"We've played against opponents who normally leave the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu with another kind of result, but now we need to move on, self-evaluate and think about the upcoming fixtures.

"We are the same players who were winning titles a month and a half ago.

"We need to be united and think about ourselves, as we have a great squad and there can be no excuses."

Analysing the title race, in which Barcelona are already seven points ahead, Ramos was certainly not willing to give up.

"Being seven points behind Barcelona is not too large a gap," he insisted.

"On other occasions we have come back from even larger gaps."

Keen to avoid dropping any further points, Real Madrid now turn their attention to the weekend's trip to take on Alaves.

hapo pa kikosi kilekile na kocha yuleyule ndipo penye tatizo. Wapinzani wenu wengi wamebadilika nyie mnabaki vilevile!! Ila kiuhalisia hampo vilevile wapi Morata na James. Morata aliyefunga goli nyingi kwenye timu nyuma tu ya Ronaldo huku akiwa na uwiano wa ajabu wa goli/minutes.
