Professor Karim or the Comedy of Errors

Professor Karim or the Comedy of Errors

Mohamed Said

Speakin of Rumaliza's legendary story of killing the German sniper who was wiping out the Tanganyikans from the fort port hole at that time Rumaliza managed to pass the bullet right through the hole into the snipers head. The Germans were socked because Rumaliza turned the rules of engagment against the enemy and that was when he took the vantage point and killing scores and scores of the German soldiers. At this time the locals were shouting "maliza!" "maliza!" in a victorius cry hence the name Rumaliza.

After the War was over the Germans went to the Sultan of Zanzibar and asked to meet with Rumaliza, the Sultan refused to bring Rumaliza and told the German I will not bring him to you but I will tell him of your request. And when Rumaliza got the news of the Germans request he took courage and sent a message to the Germans that he will ne going to Dar es salaam on such a particular day! On his arrival amazingly the Germans had arranged a red carpet reception with a guard of honour and honoured him a Medal of Honour for his Valor. Saddly the people he fought for have forgotten and had not shown any gratitude to his name he is not even mentioned or honoured during National Day for The Heroes of Tanzania!!

Ironically GAUTAMA and his friends here attach Mkwawa's Lugalo wars with Abushir bin Salim (Kichwa Mchungu) and Bwana Kheri whom they fought against the Germans in 9 June 1889 and later in along the coast from Pangani to Kilwa with Omar Hassan Makunganya. Which was a separate war.
Omar Hassan Makunganya while fighting the Germans in the southern flank of the coastal line. He was also supporting Mkwawa and Abushir with weapons supplies and soldiers as reinforcements in the hinterlands.

These people who oppose the facts and supports the hypothesis are so confused and deranged in their hate for Arabs and Islam so not to understand that the Muslimans no mater of their race and tribal origin were leading the others including the non muslimans fighting the bruttal Germans.
They are stuck in fed fake history that depicts the Arabs and so the Muslim were the devious slavers who had done nothing good of this country and they the missionery and their Church were the sole saviours of their souls! They hid the behind the curtain of lies and they do not want to contemplate that the British came latter on in the final leg of the war qhen the German were at their weakest point and tricked the Sultan into Protecrorate and so legitimising their take over under the League of Nations Mandate.
These are manipulated in the history of the whole of East Africa and you find that the major writers of history are the same colonial figures, from Stanely, Livingstone, Speke, Ingrams, Pearce, Hollingsworth etc.
The Kivukoni history is derived from there and again the scourge of the socialistic communist agenda took its course in the mid 60's and later on.

If we ask them one question as an example of many questions here,
"Who built the Magogoni Ikulu house and the Ocean Road Hospital building (what it was)?" they won't say it even if they know!

Wazungu wangesema "you are being silly".

teh teh teh, unavyomtetea mleta mada, gwiji la Historia anayeshindwa hata kujua ngome ya Mkwawa ilikuwa wapi na Wajerumani walikuwa wapi, huyo anakosa sifa automatically za ku-make a critique, hebu jisomee hapo chini alichoandika

"It was not Mkwawa with the support of
Abushiri who stormed German fort in Lugaro?
Was not Bwana Heri who organize his people
to fight aginst German? "

Fikiri tena.

Debate and challenge the substance of the motion not vocabulary. We all know the difference and difficultiea of accents but not in writing. So if you dont have counter material stay put and go into read only mode (ROM)

Prof GAUTAMA.

Lugalo-|-Lungemba-|-Mbweni-|-Tosamaganga-|-Kalenga-|-Kikongoma-|-Mlambalasi-|-Germany-|-Ackno.-|-Mkwawa was the chief of Uhehe who won fame by defeating Germans at Lugalo on 17th August 1891 and maintaining their resistance for seven years until he shot himself to death. Mkwawa is derived from Mukwava short form of Mukwavinyika, meaning the conqueror of many lands. He was born at Luhota in 1855.Uhehe occupies the Iringa region of southern Tanzania in East Africa, its citizens (Hehe) are Bantu speaking people. The history of Chief Mkwawa has always fascinated me since I was a little kid. After I acquired enough IT skills, the idea of putting the history on the web was always lingering in my mind. The only obstacle was that, the Internet technology in Tanzania was not that much developed and hence hampered my effort. After having exposed to the world of IT, my effort was rekindled and revived. The first biggest step I did was to register the domain mkwawa.com. However another obstacle came, I did not have any authentic and reliable source of information.-Fortunately a freelance filmmaker in Germany, Mr. Martin Baer, eventually bumped into my personal web pageimmkwawa.mkwawa.com-while searching for any of Chief Mkwawa’s descendants on the Internet. He too was interested with Chief Mkwawa’s history and had a plan to make a documentary film since 1996. Martin managed to secure funds for the project and chose me to be the main actor. I took that opportunity to collect relevant materials of Chief Mkwawa’s history while filming in both Tanzania and German.-I am really grateful with what I had collected from interviewing people, reading history books and visiting historic places. This is an account of my itinerary. Hopefully you will find this site enjoyable as well as informative.

Ningependa GAUTAMA ajibu hilo kama bado halijajibiwa.

I wonder wangapi humu wanajuwa maana yake.

By Ilonga Kaitan Ilunga (ilongailunga)

Yesterday in the year of our Lord 22 Feb. 2015
I came across Prof. Hirji critique, Beating the drum on one side: Confusing the people on both sides on Mr. Said’s work, Tanzania: A nation without heroes, in which Said attempt to explain distortion of Tanzania official history. I have a fortune to come across some of Prof. Hirji writings notably his critiques.
???
Prof. Hirji has a misfortune to have “four slip of the pen” a common trademark in most of his defensive critiques. First, methodological inconsistences, here he can not comprehend his method Vis a Vis his reasoning extracted from his basic premises, second, to reduce the context understudy to purely personal debate that do away with historical realities, third to generalize various scenario within distinct Social contexts and call them into his aid, and last, opportunistic twisting the supposed premises to help his course. Professor is not so ignorant to make these mistakes, He understands them very well but he do so to fulfill his historical mission.
???
On premises deduce from Said work
???
Prof. after careful reading of Said work came up with basic five premises (refer to his critique); if Prof. could read Said work more careful he would come with different premises:..
???
Hirji major weakness is his school of thougth in which he belongs, according to Hirji and Co. History should start with a leader and end with a leader. I my view history should start whith the people and end with the people i.e people’s power. This is what Said is partly correct and our dear professor completely lost. His weakness lies on the model of thinking which nurture Hirji and his fellow travellers during their years at University of Dar es salaam. Glorification of the leader.
???
Lastly I pay tribute to Prof. Contribution to the debate, it is my humble appeal that people of all sorts will share that effort without favouring their religious affiliation s But the Truth.
Hiki Kiingereza kinafundishwa wapi? Laiti angeandika Kiswahili!

What was the first, second and third name of Mkwawa?

What is the meaning of "Mkwawa"? is it Kihehe? Kibantu or?

Faiza you will never teach me history of my own tribe..history of my ruler and history of my region
His name wasn't Mkwawa but rather Mkwavinyika ..kwa kihehe kukwava ni kutwaa/kunyakua na nyika ni nuikachi.so Mkwawa is neither Hehe nor Bantu
