Unless the project has sufficient domestic peripheral uses, as implementing a project whose benefit depends upon political and economic stability in Ethiopia sounds ridiculous. Ethiopia is going through serious fracas, and assuming the same stop today, it may take 20 years to bring back Ethiopia to where it was before the war erupted.
China's recent attachment of ports and other key infrastructures in situated in other countries is serious warning sign that we need prudent borrowing policy.

Lamuport itakuwa inaweza kusaidia Mombasa na hata ukanda huku mzima kwa hali kama hiyo. Pili Meli kubwa (panamax) zisizoweza kuingia Mombasa kwa Sasa zitatua mzigo lamu ndiyo meli ndogo ziweze kupeleka bandari zingine katika ukanda huu ikiweko Mombasa. Kinachohitajika kwasasa kufaulisha bandari ya lamu ni gantry cranes (SSG) kufika Na barabara za kuunganusha Hadi nchi jirani kumalizika kwa wakati.

Hivi unajua leo hii Ethiopia ikivunjika vunjika jirani wa Kenya atakuwa ni nani? Itakuwa ni Oromia, jimbo lenye watu wengi zaidi(40 million strong) nchini Ethiopia. Tena ndio jimbo ambalo limekuwa likinufaisha wahabeshi kwa utajiri wa rasilimali zake.

Sikusema pesa imekopwa katika huu mradi, bali uangalifu wa kutekeleza mradi na hasa pesa ikiwa ya mkopo.
