READ AND TRY TO PULL A NOSTALGIA :

FOR those who have never attended a Mzumbe graduation since they vacated the place, you have really missed something.

This is my third attendance since I said goodbye to Mzumbe Sec a decade and a half ago.

Today I have relived the days back then and I just wished I could have done more during my time.

I feel so touched and a sense of belongingness fills my heart.

Now that I can no longer be a Mzumbe Student, what can I possibly do to impact this society? I fault my contributions to Mzumbe as I can not match the hardwork the teachers did put in refining my current and of course my fellow students in shaping my character and attitude.

The least I can do is to have a firm commitment to return the meagre that I collect to Mzumbe, isn't it a good cause worth of our commitment? I feel obliged and probably I do not have a year more to do this. I will do it now, before its too late.

Many thought and still think that there is tomorrow, but I find the future very obscured and I have decided to fast track the future and do my part now.

Mzumbe Alumni, I now swear and pledge my commitment to participate in re-building Mzumbe.

I will be with you now and tomorrow until the ALMIGHTY calls me back. I have done and will continue to do my part....

Wazumbe.

Tunapenda kuwataarifu kuwa alumni yetu imepata ofisi iliyopo Uchumi Project Building, Shekilango Road, Sinza.

Hivi sasa alumni iko kwenye mchakato wa kutafuta administrative assistant ambaye atakuwa mtendaji wa alumni katika ofisi hiyo. Tafadhali wahamasisheni watu wanaofaa kwa kazi hiyo waombe. Majukumu ya mwajiriwa yameanishwa kwenye tangazo hilo.

Kufunguliwa kwa ofisi hii kutawezesha uratibu madhubuti wa shughuli za alumni. Kwa mwaka mmoja tangu alumni ilipoanzishwa shughuli za uratibu zilikuwa zikifanywa na wajumbe wa secretariat na wanachama wengine kwa kujitolea, jambo ambalo wakati fulani hukwamisha kasi ya utekelezaji wa shughuli za alumni kutokana na mwingiliano wa ratiba.

Pamoja na shughuli nyingine, alumni office itakuwa meeting point ya wazumbe kwa ajili ya kufahamiana, kubadilishana mawazo na kupumzika.

Merchandise mbalimbali za alumni kama t shirts zitapatikana hapo pia.

Katika mwaka mmoja tangu kuanzishwa kwake alumni imepata mafanikio ya kujidai kutokana na Mzumbe spirit ya alumni members. Kufunguliwa kwa ofisi hii ni moja ya mafanikio hayo.

Tuko pamoja, tuko pazuri.
Daima mbele, nyuma mwiko...
 
Great to hear again about Mzumbe High School and especially of how ex-Mzumbes are very proud of their former school. I am infact one of those extremely proud when I remember those old good days!

Big up Unguu, you are a familiar name to me, how a great old memory!

I have seen great renovation happening at Mzumbe from the pictures, it reminded me in a minute of the terrible toilets and even some of the domitories, but it seems a really serious job is happening now.

I am happy to contribute when returning home and will find you then.

I am interested to know more about our alumni and the very special guys who passed through the majestic hands of Mzumbe.

Nilikuwa huko jana. Angalau shule imepata ukarabati sasa inavutia vutia. Maana loh, shule ilikuwa kama mabanda ya kuku!
