Icho kipengele tu,tunamtoa Basel...tulimpiga 3-0,yeye katupiga 1-0.

Valencia,young,rojo,Bailly bila kumsahau de gea.

Pale kati pogba,Matic

Time will tell

Chifu, hata mimi sielewi washabiki hawa wanataka nini!!! Sielewi wanapaniki kwa sababu gani? Yes, United wasted a lot of chances in the 1st half, of which the team played real well! Ingawa siyo mpenzi mkubwa wa José, lakini I have to acknowledge his intelligence and reading of the games.

Hakuna haja ya kupaniki, United still got this, and gon seal the deal against CSKA on December 5th.

Ndo mpira mkuu. Tatizo mnajiamini mnoo na kujidai.....poleni sana.

Mi nawambia CSKA Moscow anaweza pata zali tukafungwa!! Lukaku nae mzigo tu!
Kimahesabu Basel hawezi kutupiku hata mechi ijayo ashinde 10
CSKA yeye ili atupiku Kuongoza kundi atatakiwa apindue goli tulizompiga kwake

Tumeshafuzu

Head-to-Head for What?

Rules za UEFA hivi hapa:

Article 17 Equality of points – group stage
17.01 If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied in the order given to determine their rankings:

a.) higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the
teams in question;

b.) superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in
question;

c.) higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams
in question;

d.) higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played
among the teams in question;

e.) if, after having applied criteria a) to d), teams still have an equal ranking, criteria a) to d) are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the teams in
question to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a
decision, criteria f) to l) apply;

f.) superior goal difference in all group matches;

g.) higher number of goals scored in all group matches;

h.) higher number of away goals scored in all group matches;

i.) higher number of wins in all group matches;

j.) higher number of away wins in all group matches;

k.) lower disciplinary points total based only on yellow and red cards received in
all group matches (red card = 3 points, yellow card = 1 point, expulsion for two yellow cards in one match = 3 points)

So, Kuwa na Uhakika na Unachokiongea! Sheria Hazidanganyi.

MOURINHO'S VERDICT ON DEFEAT TO BASEL
Jose Mourinho has been reflecting on Manchester United’s UEFA Champions League defeat to Basel on Wednesday night.

The Reds' perfect record in Group A this season came to an end at St. Jakob-Park as Michael Lang’s late goal secured a 1-0 victory for the Swiss champions, who kept their own hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages alive. But United still look on course to finish top of the group, with a home game against CSKA Moscow to come on 5 December.

Read the key points the boss made in his post-match press conference and on BT Sport

PERFECT FIRST HALF WITHOUT THE GOALS
“The first half was a perfect half without the goals. It was difficult to repeat in the second half, we knew the opponent would try a different reaction. We lost because in the first half we should be 5-0 up but we could not score one goal after being so dominant. It looked for many periods in the first half that it was impossible not to win. I think the majority of the second half the feeling of everyone was okay, it will be 0-0, but they got the late goal."

POGBA GOING OFF HAD AN IMPACT
"Did Pogba coming off have an impact on the team? I think it did have an impact, we were not such a good team after Paul came off but it had to be with the levels of fatigue after 65 minutes. I brought to the pitch an experienced player like [Nemanja] Matic and thought it couldn't affect the game. I bring Marcus [Rashford] to give us more speed, more problems to them, Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] to hold the ball and the approach was good.”

NO COMPLAINTS
“I cannot complain or blame the players. I think we play a match like this 10 times and nine times we win comfortably but the one was now. I lost here with Chelsea also in the last minute, we had one shot on target and played really bad, but that wasn't the case today. I think we were really, really good in the first half.”

THE APPROACH
“We played against a team with five defenders, we knew that we tried to play with three attacking players, that worked in the first half. We didn’t score in the second half, we knew one point was enough. In the end, we lost so it's hard for me to be upset with the players. In the first half, the attitude and football was good. It’s just football. An easy match to win. It’s great for them [Basel], now they have a good chance to qualify.”

PRAISE FOR RETURNING ROJO
“[Marcos] Rojo played very well. He could be playing a couple of weeks ago. We didn’t need to rush him. The first half was very easy, he had lot of the ball, he didn’t have to be physically demanding. He controlled very well his game, so I’m really happy.”

BASEL 1 MANCHESTER UNITED 0
Champions League Group A | 22 November 2017 | St. Jakob-Park | Attendance: 36,000 | Scorer: Lang 89

Jose Mourinho warned Basel would be forced to go on the offensive if CSKA Moscow won the earlier Group A game and he was proved correct as, after being bossed for much of the first half, the Swiss side carried the greater threat and grabbed a late winner.

Sergio Romero and his defence were standing firm until the dying seconds when Raoul Petretta's cross evaded everybody and Michael Lang nipped in behind Daley Blind to nudge in from close range.

United, playing in the grey third kit, had assumed control virtually from the outset with the hosts offering little by way of goal threat. With captain Paul Pogba in commanding form, it was his wonderful through pass on 12 minutes that released Romelu Lukaku for the first real opportunity. The Belgian showed his strength but Tomas Vaclik was out smartly to make a top save.

Marouane Fellaini provided a threat all night and met a Daley Blind free-kick with a header that flew wide. Pogba fired a set-piece off target after being fouled in a promising position, with Dimitri Oberlin's wayward free-kick from slightly further out summing up a frustrating half for the Swiss side.

Although the home fans were upset with a few close calls by referee Daniele Orsato, United had a stranglehold on the match and should have scored before the interval. Anthony Martial's cross invited the finish from Fellaini but the ball only skimmed the head of the Belgian and clipped a post when proper contact surely would have resulted in the opening goal.

Moments later, Martial sped onto an Ander Herrera pass down the left and outstripped two defenders, only for Vaclik to divert the shot from a tight angle behind his goal with a one-handed save. The Czech Republic keeper could only watch, soon afterwards, when Marcos Rojo unleashed a full-blooded drive from distance that deflected against the bar with the keeper well beaten.

Renato Steffen's dangerous cross instantly suggested Basel would offer more of a threat in the second half and that became the case. After Lukaku headed wide from a Martial centre, Serey Die latched onto a vital clearance by Fellaini, to let fly with a drive that, thankfully, had the power but lacked accuracy.

Steffen then enjoyed a real purple patch, forcing Romero into a couple of saves, the second time from a deflection off colleague Oberlin, and cutting inside Daley Blind to bend a drive narrowly wide. Pogba had a well-struck effort held by Vaclik before being substituted and Basel went very close when Michael Lang headed against the bar and Mohamed Elyounoussi's follow-up was kept out by Romero.

There was a scare when Steffen went down under a challenge from Rojo and, after some deliberation, the referee decided not to award a penalty. Oberlin had a shot blocked and substitute Marcus Rashford sneaked an attempt into the side-netting as the game really opened up.

Die forced a flying stop out of Romero as Basel kept pushing forward with the game entering the final 15 minutes, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic blasted a speculative drive into the crowd before the late sting in the tail. Lang arrived on cue to smuggle the ball into the net and, despite Ibrahimovic heading over, there was not enough time to mount the required response

Jamani naomba kuuliza ikiwa Basel watashinda dhidi ya benfica na CSKA moscow wakashinda dhidi yetu pale OT kwa hayo matokeo Man u anaweza kwenda 16 bora..???

UEFA YOUTH LEAGUE: BASEL 2 UNITED 1
UEFA Youth League | Leichtathletik Stadion | Scorers: Pululu 60, Kaiser 66 pen | Warren 70

Manchester United have work to do to qualify in the UEFA Youth League after Basel took over top spot with a 2-1 victory at Leichtathletik Stadion. Tyrell Warren's header was not enough after goals by Afimico Pululu and Yves Kaiser for the Swiss youngsters, who avenged a 4-3 loss at Leigh.

The hosts lost Daniele Vesco to an injury sustained in the very first minute and there was little rhythm in the early stages. Angel Gomes showed neat trickery to force a diving save out of Jozef Pukaj but the chances started to come at the other end. Substitute Atdhe Rashiti fired wide, Alex Fojticek was called into action when Pululu threatened, Dominik Schmid pulled an effort wide and Usran Bislimi's attempt cleared the bar.

Gezim Pepsi had a free-kick saved before the Reds mustered a decent move which ended with Ethan Hamilton's drive missing the target, following a pass by Indy Boonen. After the break, Fojticek prevented Ro-Shaun Williams from putting through his own net from Noah Okafor's centre while George Tanner had to clear off the line and valiantly defend a Dejan Zunic cross.

A goal looked to be on the cards and so it proved on the hour mark when Pululu swept an unstoppable curler into the top corner from outside the box. Tanner's foul on Pululu then allowed Kaiser the opportunity to double the lead from the spot and he made no mistake with a confident shot.

It looked a case of 'game over' for Nicky Butt's side but the Reds showed admirable spirit yet again. Gomes swung in a free-kick for Warren to dive to nod home a lifeline. Only a fantastic double save by Fojticek kept United in the game but Gomes arrowed a free-kick just wide and Boonen's deflected cross forced an awkward save out of Pukaj.

Fojticek still had to pull off another top-drawer stop to thwart the lively Pululu but Basel still clinched the points to move two points clear at the top of Group A ahead of the final fixtures

FC Basel 1 United 0. Lang's late winner means the Reds still have work to do to win the group.

Mi ninavyoelewa ili Moscow atutoe kwenye group lead lazima atupige bao 7 pale OT kitu ambacho hakiwezekani kwa hiyo bado hamna shida yoyote kwa wale wenzetu msipanic aisee
