Brilliant win Maure🙂) siku ya leo ni nzuri sana, imebidi nianze weekend leo...TGIT!!

Nemanja Vidic says the Reds came away from Stamford Bridge with exactly what they wanted following the 1-0 Champions League victory over Chelsea.

Wayne Rooney's first half strike was the difference in the quarter-final first leg and puts United in pole position to progress to semi-finals to face either Internazionale or Schalke.
Vidic was delighted with the team's overall display at Chelsea but insists the job is only half done.
"Everyone is very happy. We've got a great result, scored the away goal and kept a clean sheet. That's what we wanted before the game," he told MUTV.
"We weren't afraid to come here and play with two forwards; we did that last time [in the league] and played some good football. I said before the game that sometimes you don't mind not playing well and winning, but I think we played well tonight and in the end we got the result.
"The job is not done yet," he added. "We must focus on the next game against Fulham and then the Chelsea match. It will be a difficult game, but with our crowd behind us I believe we can go through."
Vidic also hailed the return of his defensive partner Rio Ferdinand at the heart of the United backline for the first time since the start of February.

Rooney back to his best - Rio

Rio Ferdinand heaped praise on Wayne Rooney after the striker's well-taken goal earned a superb 1-0 victory at Chelsea.
The Reds take a lead into the second leg at Old Trafford and Ferdinand, who was outstanding in defence on his return to the side, is confident a place in the semi-finals is within touching distance.
"Wayne's a top quality player," Rio enthused "He showed touches of brilliance, great touches and awareness. It was a great finish and he was buzzing around all over the pitch today so it was good to see.
"I think he's been showing [his best form] in the last few weeks, we've seen glimpses of his ability to do wonderful stuff at any time of a game and today he was consistent throughout the game. When he's got that for us, he's some player to play against."
Ferdinand refused to be concerned about Chelsea's late call for a penalty when Ramires was felled by Patrice Evra's tackle inside the box.
"Maybe it was a penalty, maybe it wasn't," he asserted.

Sir Alex: Fans can take us through

Sir Alex Ferguson is backing United to finish the job in front of the home faithful next Tuesday night after taking a vital 1-0 lead in the Champions League quarter-final against Chelsea.
The Reds manager was delighted his team delivered the away goal he was demanding at Stamford Bridge, and a clean sheet on top of it. No wonder he's looking forward to the second leg with great confidence.
"It's only half time of course but we've got our advantage, that away goal does mean something," said Sir Alex.
"But our biggest advantage is Old Trafford. Our support next Tuesday will be absolutely fantastic, I'm banking on that."
The travelling support at Stamford Bridge were given something to roar about midway through the second half when Wayne Rooney scored his fourth goal in London in the space of five days.
"Wayne was on tremendous form and he's given us a really great opportunity to get to the semi-final," praised Sir Alex.
"I thought Wayne was excellent, his work rate and his desire to play were marvellous. He got a lot of abuse tonight and some late tackles but he just got up again and just played his game. That shows the courage of the player.
"He's now more regular in his goalscoring which, at this stage of the season, is going to be important to us. His goal tonight was

Ukimuona Drogba analia ujue kafanywa vibaya, na nani? Mi sijui

Man of the Match: Manchester United's 1-0 victory owed much to a resilient team performance rather than any individual but Rio Ferdinand deserves special mention for a near faultless performance at the back in his first game in over two months out injured.

Save of the Match: In the 75th minute Torres came agonisingly close to scoring his first Chelsea goal when his looping header, which appeared destined for the top corner, was expertly clawed away by Edwin van der Sar.

Attempt of the Match: Didier Drogba blasted a fierce shot towards the top corner early on which forced Van der Sar to tip over the bar.

Goal of the match: The only goal of the match came when Ryan Giggs brilliantly brought down Michael Carrick's floated pass on the left wing before racing into the area and cutting the ball back for Rooney, who sidefooted a clinical shot into the corner of the net.

Moment of the match: Deep into stoppage time, Chelsea felt they should have been awarded a penalty when Ramires was brought to ground by Patrice Evra but the referee controversially waved their appeals away.

Talking Point: Fernando Torres once again failed to score for Chelsea although he did hit the post and see a fine looping header saved by Edwin van der Sar. If Chelsea are to keep their Champions League dream alive, they'll certainly need their £50million man to quickly discover his touch in front of goal

.... .... wenzenu Chelsick tayari wanaandaa donge kwa refa wa mechi ijayo msije kulia tu si mnajua wale ni mafioso to the core kwanza yupo Abraham O Vich then yupo mafia original kutoka Sicily ... .... .... ... Acheni Lotte

What they said about Manure win ... .... ...

"It's not easy to give the penalty in the last minute," the Blues boss said. "You need to have personality, courage and character. Not always do referees have these kind of skills." Ramires was through on goal when Evra wrapped his legs around the midfielder and hauled him to the ground inside the box.

"It was clear. For everyone. Everyone knows it was clear," Italian Ancelotti added.

BBC Sport's Mark Lawrenson commented on BBC Radio 5 live: "It was a definite penalty, a scissors-tackle from the side. You could understand the frustration of the Chelsea fans because the more you see it, the more it's a penalty.

Chelsea captain John Terry appeared to feel even more strongly about the decision, but was restrained due to the fear of reprisal from Uefa. Terry suggested that he could be banned by European football's governing body if he said what he really thought about the decision not to award the "clear penalty".

"I think the most frustrating thing for the players is that we can't come out here and be honest about it. We would face possible bans," Terry stated.

"We're seeing players receiving bans left, right and centre for speaking honestly after games. "You guys [the media] lose out, the players can't be honest and we end up walking on eggshells. "Unfortunately, I can't say more about it but it was a clear penalty."
