VAN GAAL: THE GOALS WILL COME
A 0-0 draw at home to West Ham left clear
the Red Devils' problems in front of goal, but
according to the Dutch boss the scoring
drought cannot last forever
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal
has pledged that his side will start to find
the net more regularly in the weeks ahead.
The Red Devils have been critised for their
lack of potency, and did little to silence their
doubters at the weekend, when they were
held to a scoreless draw at home to West
Ham.
But speaking in a press conference ahead
of the Champions League clash against
Wolfsburg, Van Gaal insisted that sooner or
later they would break the drought.
"I have the experience as a manager that
the goals will come," he told reporters.

"When you create chances you can finish
those chances and we have that belief - it
is a matter of time and I hope we can prove
that tomorrow."
The club have endured mixed fortunes so
far in the 2015-16 season, but after 15
games lie just three points shy of Premier
League leaders Leicester City.
And Van Gaal insisted that his players are
performing to expectations, with only two
games as exceptions.
"I am pleased with the squad, when I have
to reconsider our season I will say our
matches against Arsenal and Crystal Palace
were the matches when we were not the
better team," he pointed out.
"I know we must score more goals. As a
manager I know we must score, but when
you ask about the team's performance I am
satisfied."

Hivi Man ilifungwa maana naona wakaanga sumu wamevamia jamvi letu.

Manchester United face Wolfsburg in a must win Champions League match today and here are 10 things we expect from that game:
1. The needed win; 3 points - because this is a must-win game.
2. Martial to rediscover this scoring boots. Martial has come close - but close is not good enough.
3. Memphis Depay to repeat his Champions League feats - MD7 had a great start in his CL campaign and he was looking very promising when he came on last Saturday - let's hope he ties it up nice and proper.
4. Ashley Young - Young is many things - he makes crosses and makes them good; he has pace and knows how to get behind defenders and seems to work well with anyone on the forward line-up. He needs to start.
5. Jesse Lingard needs to improve his scoring accuracy - the lad is good and he gets very good balls on the box or around it - he just needs to aim better.
6. While the forward line-up is our crisis look, we also need the defence to continue being strong. Wolfsburg came at United at home - Chris Smalling & Daley Blind must be vigilant at the Volkswagen Arena - the Germans are not scared to come out scoring.
7. The Defensive Midfield crisis needs to be better handled - With Schneiderlin out, only Carrick & Bastian remain. They are good, but slow and they tire over 90 minutes. There is need for balance and with Ander Herrera and Rooney out - there leaves only Marouane Fellaini is the other alternative... Let's see how LVG handles this.
8. United must improve creating chances - and placing Depay & Young on the wings is one way to do that. However, Juan Mata need to step up to this big game.If Van Gaal places him in #10 role, he needs to be faster and improve his pass accuracy.
9. Matteo Darmian and Paddy McNair are likely to have wing-back positions. Because of Darmian's versatile nature, he was delayed on left back. However, his final ball was poor because unlike Ashley Young or Valencia who are more attacking oriented, Darmian is an out & out defender. LVG should find a way to make the Italian have a more consistent performance where he's best - mostly on the right back.
10. Luck. Sometimes, you need lady luck to smile.
10.1 Whether it's speed or creativity - we also need a lot of that.
10.2 And attitude - that, never say die attitude.
--- What else are you expecting tonight?

SCHWEINSTEIGER HIT WITH FA
CHARGE
The Germany international was seen raising
his arm towards the Hammers defender and
has faced retrospective action, which could
earn him a three-match ban
Manchester United midfielder Bastian
Schweinsteiger has been hit with a Football
Association (FA) charge for an altercation
with West Ham defender Winston Reid.
Saturday's Premier League goalless draw
at Old Trafford was overshadowed by the
incident in which the Germany international
appeared to strike the centre-back with his
forearm.
Referee Mark Clattenburg and his
assistants missed the altercation and the
FA have subsequently opted to take
retrospective action for an "alleged act of
violent conduct".
An FA statement read: "Bastian
Schweinsteiger has been charged for an
alleged act of violent conduct which was
not seen by the match officials but caught
on video.
"The Manchester United midfielder was
involved in an incident with West Ham
United's Winston Reid in the 40th minute of
the game on Saturday 5 December 2015.
"The matter was referred to a panel of three
former elite referees who each reviewed the
video footage independently of one another
to determine whether they considered it a
sending-off offence.
"For an FA charge to follow the decision by
the panel must be unanimous."

Schweinsteiger should have been sent off
Schweinsteiger's actions were criticised by
both Reid and West Ham manager Slaven
Bilic, who stated that the former Bayern
Munich man should have been shown a red
card.
"He deserved to be sent off, but it's
impossible for the ref to see everything. No
matter how many referees you have,
sometimes they can't see," Bilic said in the
aftermath of the game.
"I'm sure if he did see it, it would have been
a straight red. Of course we are
disappointed but it happens. He just didn't
see it."
Reid added: "It was a red card. He knows
what he's done ? he's elbowed me in the
face. The referee couldn't see it, so we
move on."
Schweinsteiger has until midday on
Thursday to reply to the charge and could
face a three-match ban if found guilty
