Career path since 2010:
Maharage Chande, is MultiChoice Regional Director for East and in an acting capacity for West Region. At the same time, Maharage will continue to look after Tanzania.

Before joining MultiChoice Tanzania in 2016, Maharage who has extensively worked in Banking and Telecoms industries, worked at Vodacom Tanzania as Managing Executive of IT and Data from 2004 to 2010, National Bank of Commerce (NBC) as Chief Operating Officer from 2010 to 2014 then moved to the President’s Office as the Director of Corporate Services in the President’s Delivery Bureau from 2014 to 2016.

Huyo jamaa unaona CV yake inaonesha amesomea Electronics na masuala ya biashara! On top of that, ana uzoefu mkubwa wa kuongoza taasisi binafsi za kibiashara!!!

Hizi taasisi binafsi za kibiashara zinawajenga watu into a corporate culture! That being said, jambo la kwanza kabisa, kutokana na huo uzoefu wake wa kazi, atakuwa analeta corporate culture pale TANESCO!!

Lack of corporate culture ndiyo inaangamiza taasisi zetu kwa sababu zinakuwa less commercial and customers oriented.

Hakuna mtu aliye mzoefu na corporate culture anaweza kuvumilia ujinga unaoendelea TANESCO, kwa sababu hawa watu "wamekulia" mazingira yanayojali biashara, na wanajua hakuna biashara pasipo na mteja!!

Nilikosoa hapa uteuzi wa Ladislau Matindi, CEO wa ATCL ambae na mwenyewe pamoja na kuwa na elimu mzuri, na uzoefu mkubwa wa kazi, lakini CV yake haioneshi kama ameshawahi kuongoza taasisi ya kibiashara, angalau at departmental level!!

Matokeo yake, leo hii ndege za ATCL zinatoka muda wanaojisikia wenyewe, na wanaweza ku-cancel safari muda wowote randomly... WHY?! Kwa sababu hata huyo CEO wao hajawahi kuona umuhimu au uzoefu wa namna gani mteja anatakiwa kuhudumiwa!

Hajawahi hata kufokewa na mjinga mjinga mmoja hivi, kisa tu ni mteja!! Hajawahi kusurubiwa na bosi wake kwa sababu tu kuna mjinga mjinga mmoja kapiga simu directly kwa bosi kumlalamikia mteja!

Na uzuri wa huu uteuzi ni pale Omar Issa alipoteuliwa kuwa Mwenyekiti wa Bodi, kwa sababu, kama ilivyo kwa Maharage, Omar Issa nae ana uzoefu mkubwa kwenye corporate culture!!
