eddy murphy huyo kwenye dreamgirls, GT bwana, sasa hapo unataka kutuambia nini..............?

Journalist briefly kidnapped by thugs

By Guardian Reporter

A journalist with the Guardian Limited Mwanaidi Swedi was yesterday kidnapped by unknown people and kept hostage for hours before the kidnappers released her.

Mwanaidi, who writes for a Kiswahili evening paperAlasiriwas kidnapped just a few metres from the Guardian Ltd offices at Mikocheni as she was going to town for an assignment.

Speaking to this reporter Mwanaidi said a dark blue saloon car with tinted windows stopped nearby with three men and offered to give her a ride to town.

According to Mwanaidi, one of the three men seemed to look familiar to her making her believe that they knew her.

``The car then headed to town but when we reached at Bamaga one of the men suggested that they take Shekilango Road to avoid traffic jam,`` she said.

She said on the way, the two men who were sitting with her on the back seat strangled her.

``They asked me if I know a man called Thomas who lives at Wazo Hill. I told them I do not know the man,`` she said.

Mwanaidi said the kidnappers told her they had come from Arusha for a special assignment to teach a lesson to journalists who write about other people.
``They kept on strangling me and one of them told me to hand over all my belongings,`` she said.

She said she attempted to resist but the kidnapers threatened to kill her.

``They took my cellular phone, my wedding rings and the money I had in my handbag,`` she said.

Mwanaidi further said that she was thrown out of the car when they reached at Kinondoni cemetery before the car sped away.

Kinondoni Regional Police Commander Jamal Rwambow said they have not arrested anybody yet and that investigations were going on to net the suspects.

``We are still investigating on the incident. It is not good to ignore the incident but it is also wise to investigate,`` he said.

halafu soma hapa tena

...Mwanaidi further said that she was thrown out of the car when they reached at Kinondoni cemetery before the car sped away....
