The answer to this debate is simple.
It's in the meaning of FAITH.
Faith - "complete trust and confidence in someone or something. To hope or believe in someone or something not seen, or heard, which are true"
From this meaning, the non believers need to see so they can believe. And this goes against the meaning of faith. In other words, believers and non believers will never reach into a consensus that supports either of them because seeing as a proof is not a characteristic of faith. So proving the existence of God with a weak humanly claim of wanting to see is not possible.
This proves, let the believers believe and non believers disbelieve in the existence of God if seeing is the condition of proof. However one must be in the right way because it is not possible for God to both exist and not to exist.
I'm a believer. And because my Bible says who he doesn't believe God exists is stupid, I believe yes, he must be stupid. And, if he wants me to prove God exists by showing (seeing), I won't do that to someone considered stupid, because even if seeing would be possible, because of stupidity, still he wouldn't believe.
