Am a Ugandan so my first priority is to learn Swahili (Ha!) and I really want to mix with East Africans. I am an activist (so I must be in the opposition right?) I live in Florida, USA but I forgot to pack my heart and soul. Those I left in Uganda 8 years ago. Let's talk, get to know each other and make this East African thing a reality...

Karibu Anne.

Huko Florida unapata matoke ya Kabalagala lakini?

Hey Anne, where do you reside in Florida? And welcome aboard the JF Express..

Ahsante.

Baadae.

Oh, Ngabu, someone sent me that good old music from Zilipendwa today because I loved dancing to that stuff back in the day in Ange Noir and other Clubs in Kampala. I was listening to the music when I realized this was a discussion forum and I decided to join...
Dilunga, am going crazy trying to enter each word in your message above in the online swahili dictionary. Am so bad. I warned you : Third hand swahili!!!

wellcome on board,by the way is anne mugisha your really name? If so then surely, surely we know one another-i may have to jerk your memory through your pm

Yes am Anne Mugisha alright. But both are common names in Uganda. I am an opposition activist and I got tired of using psuedonyms long ago. Needed to own up to my own remarks, observations, comments, actions and reactions. Now, who are you Son of Alaska?

Anne Mugisha,

Nilichosema pale ni kuwa, wewe umeonyesha una weza kuvumilia majadiliano yenye misuguano ya hapa na pale (heated back and forth) bila kughafirika (without being rattled).

Bwana Dilunga (Am assuming you are a man - its tonal),

Nimesikia kidogo kitu unasema. Sasa ninajaribu, ninasoma mpaka ni kuwa mtaalamu. Ni kuwa mwanafunzi mzuri. Asante sana.

Ahlan wassaaalan,

Sisi wengie hapa English is our third hand language. We hate "hatred languages".
