IJose Mourinho: The Champions League Final Is A Dream For Inter, But An Obsession For Barcelonanter coach Jose Mourinho has claimed Barcelona are obsessed with reaching the Champions League final in Madrid this year, while for his side it remains a dream.
We have the dream of winning the Champions League and for Barcelona it's an obsession," Mourinho told his pre-match press conference today. "This is the difference. A dream is purer than an obsession. There is pride in a dream, anywhere in the world. For Barcelona it was a dream to reach the final in Rome, but to reach the final at the Bernabeu is an obsession for them."
Mourinho also confirmed that Dutchman Wesley Sneijder had overcome his injury woes and is set to start at Camp Nou tomorrow night.
"Sneijder is fine and he will play, said Mourinho, whose side go into tomorrow nights semi-final with a 3-1 lead from the first leg.
We will see during the match if he is okay for ninety minutes. He still has a small problem but he gave a positive response in our final training session and there are no doubts.
Finally, Mourinho, who worked as a translator at Barcelona, said he was not worried about how the Blaugrana would line-up, insisting he is only worrying about his own team.
"Barcelona are a top team with a top coach and top players, he said. They have had the same philosophy of play for many years, but at the same time they are a team that has adapted.
"We have seen [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic and [Lionel] Messi play in many different positions. It is a team full of diversities in its play. We have our way of playing, and we are thinking about ourselves. It's not a drama for us how they play."
