Chameleons/Celotes
Chameleons are reptiles belonging to the genus Celotes. They are also vertebrates and cold-blooded animals. Chameleons belong to the Agamidae family. Chameleons have the ability to change their appearance to suit their habitat. They feed on small animals (insects) and reproduce by laying eggs. In addition to changing their skin to suit their habitat (mimicry), like snakes, chameleons also undergo skin changes, where old skin sheds and new skin is replaced.
