Gaddafi makes bizarre TV appearance!

hebu tukumbushe...alipofika uganda alisemaje? ningependa nifaham mkuu!!!

Ugandan Church leaders have asked Christians to forgive Libya's leader for suggesting the Bible was forged as it didn't mention the Prophet Muhammad.

Ugandan clerics pointed out the Bible was written before Muhammad was born.
Kampala Archbisop Cyprian Lwanga told an Easter mass congregation to forget Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi's remarks.
Colonel Gaddafi made his comments whilst in Uganda's capital, Kampala, last week to open a giant mosque. He
has since left the country.
"How can we be blamed for not including what was not in existence?" said Archbishop Lwanga in his sermon for Easter prayers at Rubaga Cathedral.
"I ask fellow Christians to forgive Gaddafi like Jesus forgave those people who crucified him on the cross."
At Kampala's Christ the King Church, Monsignor Paul Ssemwogerere said: "Since the Muslim community has already distanced itself from Colonel Gaddafi's sentiments, let's forgive him as Christians."
Incident
Namirembe Bishop Samuel Balagadde Ssekadde asked the government to guide foreign visitors who might make divisive remarks in future.
"We should pray for such people who don't know that in Uganda, we have an Inter-Religious Council that unites us regardless of our religious differences. Muslims and Christians live harmoniously without any problem," he said.
Seeking to defuse the row, President Yoweri Museveni said he had spoken to the Libyan leader about Christianity after the speech. "I do not believe in competition between religions. After all, God has no religion. God is for us all," the president said during Easter prayers at Nshwere Church in Kiruhura, according to a statement.

Idi Amin's dream mosque opens
A huge mosque begun more than 30 years ago by the late Ugandan dictator Idi Amin has opened in the Ugandan capital.
The mosque is named after Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi who helped finance its construction when funds ran low.
As Libya's leader opened the mosque, which holds some 15,000 worshippers and dominates Kampala's skyline, a large crowd chanted "long live Gaddafi".
Amin, who lived in Saudi Arabia after he fled Uganda in 1979, dreamed of building Africa's largest mosque. A number of other African leaders attended the ceremony, including the presidents of Somalia, Zanzibar and Djibouti.

are u joking?
kuna matajiri kweli kweli
Hivyo wana Libya sio vichaa wala wajinga, wanajua kila wanachofanya wala hawabahatishi.

Du! Mkuu pole. Vuta pumzi kwa nguvu, pumua. Rudia tena. Tena! Ukitulia anza upya halafu nitakujibu

Gurudumu mazoezi ya nini humu jamvini? Kulikoni swahiba?

Narudia, statistically, gadaffi is an outlier yaani an awkward case katika viongozi waliokaa madarakani muda mrefu

Muammar Gaddafi, the Libyan leader, has vowed to fight on and die a "martyr", calling on his supporters to take back the streets from protesters demanding his ouster, shouting and pounding his fist in a furious speech on state TV.

Gaddafi, clad in brown robes and turban, spoke on Tuesday from a podium set up in the entrance of a bombed-out building that appeared to be his Tripoli residence hit by US air raids in the 1980s and left unrepaired as a monument of defiance.

"I am a fighter, a revolutionary from tents ... I will die as a martyr at the end," he said.

"Muammar Gaddafi is the leader of the revolution, I am not a president to step down ... This is my country. Muammar is not a president to leave his post."

"I have not yet ordered the use of force, not yet ordered one bullet to be fired ... when I do, everything will burn."

He called on supporters to take to the streets to attack protesters. "You men and women who love Gaddafi ...get out of your homes and fill the streets," he said. "Leave your homes and attack them in their lairs ... Starting tomorrow the cordons will be lifted, go out and fight them."

Gaddafi said "peaceful protests is one thing, but armed rebellion is another".

"From tonight to tomorrow, all the young men should form local committees for popular security," he said, telling them to wear a green armband to identify themselves. "The Libyan people and the popular revolution will control Libya."

The speech, which appeared to have been taped earlier, was aired on a screen to hundreds of supporters massed in Tripoli's central Green Square.

At times the camera panned out to show a towering gold-coloured monument in front of the building, showing a fist crushing a fighter jet with an American flag on it - a view that also gave the strange image of Gaddafi speaking alone from behind a podium in the building's dilapidated lobby, with no audience in front of him.

Speech highlights

Shouting in the rambling speech, Gaddafi declared himself "a warrior" and proclaimed: "Libya wants glory, Libya wants to be at the pinnacle, at the pinnacle of the world".

Among the other points made by Gaddafi in his speech:

He called on the people to catch what he called drugged young people and bring them to justice.

He called on the people to "cleanse Libya house by house" unless protesters on the streets surrendered.

He warned that instability in Libya "will give al-Qaeda a base".

He cited the examples of attack on Russian parliament and China's crushing of the 1989 Tiananmen Square uprising, saying that the international community did not interfere.

He said he could do the same in Derna and Bayda.

He offered a new constitution starting from Wednesday, but this would come with dialogue, not by collaboration with the enemy.

He blamed the uprising on Islamists who wanted to create another Afghanistan, and warned that those in Bayda and Derna had already set up an Islamic Emirate that would reach Benghazi.

He said that the country's youth was drugged and did not know anything; they were following the Islamists' leader and their leaders would be punished with death in accordance with the Libyan law.

Just minutes after his speech, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Cairo reported that Amr Moussa, Arab League chief, had decided to discontinue the participation of the Libya delegation in the meetings of the council and all its institutions.

Mkuu msando, we have been brainwashed to believe kwamba usitawale muda mrefu ukafia madarakani. Are we better off than Libyans?

Mbona sasa tunalazimika kutumia nguvu ya umma if democratic elections were anything to go by?

Gurudumu, I get your point. I hear you loud and clear.

Not that when he is gone it will be bread and butter for Libyans. And democracy doesnt mean a change of leaders every after ten years. At least with that what it means people have made a choice. Whether they have repeatedly made a bad choice doesnt translate to lack of democracy but to bad governance in a narrow sense.

So, here the question is, in this particular case does the Libyans want Gaddaffi to stay or go? For those who are already dead they wanted him to go. For those who are ailing on death beds with deady bullet wounds want him to go. And for those who have believed in him for those who have not felt the pinch of his autocratic rule they want him to stay. Or if they have felt it but are too scared to risk another devil then they think its better he stays.

I would agree to this thought, weird and cowardly as it is, he cant rule for another twenty years!! even if he wanted to he will naturally be unable to rule. That is also an option! Waiting is also democracy!

Gadaffi is the leader and the ruler I admire.I had been in Libya sometimes back and what he says about economy is true story.Walibya waache kufata mkumbo itawacost.Gadaffi anamaanisha anachokisema kwa vitendo that is true story

Tatizo ni kuwa nchi haijajiwekea stable system, iko built kwa individual yaani Gaddafi is Libya and Libya is Gaddafi.

Anasema ke will die for his political belief.(martyr).
