Greetings dear friends, the following report was composed by "another person" with whom we have no direct connection. In light of the fighter trainer accident that killed two Tanzania airmen last week and silence that followed especially among our leadership we have seen it to be important to bring to the front the state of our airforce. We believe that we can not build a modern nation without creating the mechanisms and structures to defend it. Our air force must be at the forefront of defending the integrity our airspace.

M has therefore, decided to let us release this report that is also available freely online (somewhere else) as a public service. However, according to "M" the report does not contain all the information about our airforce and especially the most recent military purchases are not included. I

We urge the responsible organs to consider the accident that claimed the lives of Maj. Cuthbert Leguna and Lt. Andrew Kijangwa as a wake up call to modernize our trainer fighters some of which are almost 40 years old! If we can spend billions of shillings to build luxurious houses and many more in corrupt deal we truly can spend enough money to upgrade our military equipments.

In memory of Maj. Leguna and Lt. Kijangwa

We are having difficult attaching the report. Please stay put.

Hivi hiyo ndege haikuwa na 'eject system'? Maana mi-fighter karibu yote ina 'eject system'?

That is Tanzania, the fighers that we used against Amin 1979 are still in operation today. But the landcruisers that our politicians drive are replaced every five years!

Comrade,
Correction...........Its every year or whenever a newer version is produced by Toyota

SHENYANG F-4 (MIG-17F):This needs to be corrected. This should be F-5, and the
trainers are FT-5, and if from China, J-5 and trainer JJ-5. Tanzania received +-20 FT-5 in
1973. These are based at Ngerengere Base where at least 7 can be seen on Google Earth,
both in Mar 2004 and in 2009.

Nilitegemea the same. This proves me wrong in Tanzania. Nikiwaangalia wanajeshi wetu, proud as they are, I feel sad about them.
