Dr. Kitila ampa tabu Thabo Mbeki

Mbeki risks annointing himself the saint of hyperbole and polarization scapegoating.

good question, hayo ndio maswali yanayotakiwa kuulizwa wanasiasa. Waandishi wengi wa Ulaya na marekani wanauliza maswali kwa data walizokusanya. Dr Mkumbo amedhihilisha umahili wake na shule aliyokwenda kupata PhD. good

Hili swali halikuhitaji Ph.D.

Mtu yeyote anayesoma magazeti tu angeweza kuuliza. It's not like swali kaulizwa Parelman na limezama katika solution ya Poincare's Conjecture.

Put it this way you get to meet a successful business man, yourself as a struggling businessman (in one of those rare occasions), do you use that chance to ask him about better ways of improving your business and what tips to take in trying to move your business forward.

Or you gamble by annoying him by his past non ethical practices in business.

Look at it in terms of opportunity lost (to you).

Usiku mwema.

Because of lack of education.
Because of lack of resources and or their proper distribution, and a whole heap of issues.

But, as poor as you can be, can you get AIDS without HIV?

Did Mbeki ever say you can get AIDS without HIV?

The pinching question remains: Why does HIV - and AIDS - thrive more in a continent that is relatively more poor and disease-infested?

PS. Does Magic Johnson have AIDS - or just HIV?

It depends I meet him on what setting.

Mbeki was at a breakfast roundtable that discussed the role of African leadership in determining the future of the continent.

Kitila's question was pertinent in every way.

Goes to prove my "strongman" theory.

Sasa huyu Mbeki aliyeshindwa kuongoza nchi ya chama chenye nguvu kama ANC unamuona ana mafanikio gani?

Mbeki ni failure, na swali hili linathibitisha. Kashindwa hata kujibu.

Part of the answer is because so called leaders like Mbeki consider African lives expendable, in the process giving them some local concoctions instead of scientifically tested drugs (that was an especially telling low point) and subsequently increasing infection and the prevalence rate.

Part of the answer? What an ironic vindication of Mbeki's call to seek a full answer instead of dwelling in conventional, albeit partial answers!

what is your argument now?

Ukiwa dissident na/au ahead of your time ni vigumu sana watu kukuelewa na kukubali, wanakuja kukukumbuka baadaye re: Nyerere na Miiko ya Uongozi katika Azimio, Elimu ya Bure n.k.

But you are not going to solve a problem by refuting the part of the answer that is known simply because you do not have 100% of the answer, surely not, no?

I thought we went through this the other day discussing the convergent nature of science.

If you want 100% answers you would not be able to count, because even number theory is debatable and can be argued to be only "part of the answer".

Are you going to refuse to use pi to the 7th decimal place if it's paractical enough to build a house only because it's not a "full answer" and it's only "part of answer"?

Whither prudence?

It is this very same intellectual hubris and floating heads in the utopian ivory towers that cultivates a dangerous elitism that is the drug of the Mbekis of this world and the poison of the African masses , the mlala hoi-polloi.

Kumbuka na sie pia tunaweza kusema sio tu ni ma dissident, bali ma dissident's dissident.

You don't want to be a dissident for the sake of being a dissident. You want to have substance to base your dissidence on.

Mbeki's "dissidence" is rooted in political expediency and baseless age old polarization. The youth of Africa deserve better than that.

"Ndiyo Mzee" is dead and gone. Ukichemsha vijana wako mwenyewe watakuuliza maswali ya kukuumbua.

If the HIV analogy to pi is practical enough how come the poor continent has more AIDS than the rich continents though we are practically doing what the rich have been doing - practicing ABCs and/or using ARVs?

Umesikia jana rates zimeanza kushuka katika nchi zilizokuwa na highest prevalence?

http://allafrica.com/stories/201211220628.html

Hata zisingeshuka, with viongozi kama kina Mbeki na Kikwete ambao basically wana encourage watu waende kwa babu wa Loliondo na Sangoma, na populations kama zetu surely you can't say we have been doing everything and practicing ABC?

Wabongo wana practice ABC?

Hizo ni tautologies tu - abracadabra na somersaults - za conventionalists masquerading as dissidents' dissidents!

Politicization of science has led conventionalist champions of singularity and convergence to shun, nay, vilify dissidents!

Remember Galileo!
