Actually hiyo ni revenue ya kujiendesha tu. Ya maendeleo, States karibu zote ukiondoa Lagos and a couple of them, huwa zinategemea Federal budget. Hii ni kawaida huku Africa.
All in all huwezi kukataa kuwa ukubwa wa bajeti haumaanishi ukubwa wa uchumi. Mifano ipo mingi sema hawa wajaluo washashiba uji saa hizi huwaambii kitu.

1. Nigeria's Federal Government accounts for an average of 70% of States' revenue. Nothing different from most so-called devolved governments in Africa. They all depend on the central government i.e pesa mashinani crap! So your counter-argument is basically benign and does nothing to nullify the fact that bigger budget doesn't mean bigger economy or more development.

We know your local govt collections, hamna kitu hapo., Nigerian states uses there revenue collections for the state budget, in addition to the top up from national budget.., your reasoning ni uchwara sana! You can't compare Kenya's county govt revenue collections na local govt za Tz kamwe. An erroneous comparison. Do your study properly before arguing baselessly.

Ficha your ignorance.

A big budget doesn't necessarily mean you are richer or more developed.

Nigeria's GDP is five times that of Kenya and y'all have the same budget size.

Kenya's development expenditure (the most important part of the budget) is 6bil$. Tanzania's is 6bil$.

The rest is debt servicing and payroll (usually this is the indicator of how big/corrupt is the government).

CFS (debt servicing which is mainly debt rollover) is 12bn$ for Kenya vs 4bn$ for Tanzania.

Basically that budget is for payroll and debt rollover (85%), while Tanzania spends 40% in development projects.
