Now Bagamoyo is a wasteland with nothing going on.

Tumia akili yako walau kidogo tu,
Hayuzalishi umeme Wa kupiga nao picha instagram Sawa?

Nyie hamtaweza kutumia umeme mwingi maana Mko limited mnazalisha kidogo mtatumia kidogo
Sawa. Jidanganye tu. Time will tell. Wacha hio white elephant yenu ikamilike kwanza tutaona kitakachofuata. Kwa sasa langu ni macho tu.

Struggling gorge ni white elephant. You cannot produce power that is not being consumed.

Who will pay for maintenance?

We are tired with the catch up sessions. We need to have something extra which will enable us to plan without being stressed out.

Maana KRA wanakusanya less than USD 15b Tanzania loans estimated at USD 3. Budget ain't numbers but substance.

--------------------
Dar es Salaam. Parliament yesterday endorsed a Sh1.3 trillion budget for the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for the 2020/2021 fiscal year.
-------------------------------------

--------------------------------------
Education Sector
On the list of beneficiaries is the Education sector, which has been allocated KSh 497.7 Billion or 26.7% of the National Budget.
-----------------------------------------------

Tanzania $15.59 billion
Kenya $33.3 billion

==============

East African Finance ministers present their national budgets in their respective parliaments for the fiscal year 2021/22 today.

According to the East Africa Community (EAC) Treaty, partner states are required to read their budgets simultaneously.

But only the three founding member states – Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania – read their budgets today.

Burundi whose financial calendar begins in January and South Sudan were both given time by the EAC Council of Ministers to adjust the reading of their budgets in harmony with the rest of the partner states.

Rwanda did not give reason for delaying the budget reading.

Uganda's $12.61 billion (Ush44.7 trillion) Budget is being presented by Mr Amos Lugoloobi, the newly appointed Minister of State for Planning.

In Tanzania, the $15.59 billion (Tsh36.32 trillion) Budget will be read by the new Minister of Finance and Planning Dr Mwigulu Nchemba.

Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani will lay out the $33.3 billion (Ksh3.6 trillion) budget which is expected to cement the legacy of Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta 10 years in office in a tough economic setting clouded with depressed corporate and household earnings amid uncertainties arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Endelea kushangaa, utajua hujui na sisi life linasonga na mipango inaenda we endelea kuteseka juu yetu

Tanzanian Parliament Approves USD 567 Mln Additional Government Budget for 2021-2022

March 14, 2022
Minister Hamad Yussuf Masauni at the Parliament

The Parliament of Tanzania has approved that the Government increases its national budget for the financial year 2021/22 by more than TZS 1.3 trillion, from TZS 36.66 trillion up to TZS 37.98 trillion.

Presenting proposals for the additional budget on behalf of the Minister of Finance and Planning, Hon. Mwigulu Lameck Nchemba, the Minister of Home Affairs Hon. Hamad Yussuf Masaun said that the Government received an interest-free loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) worth TZS 1.3 trillion equivalent to USD 567.3 million.

Hin. Masauni said the money received was not part of the budget approved by Parliament in 2021/22 so the Government is responsible under section 43 of the Budget Act, Chapter 439 and Article 137 (2) of the Constitution of Tanzania, to submit to parliament a proposal to seek the consent of Parliament to spend the extra money.

He added that the money will be used to protect Tanzanians against Covid-19 and stimulate economic and social activities affected by the pandemic, in mainland Tanzania and the islands.

“Of that amount, TZS 1,079.6 billion is for mainland Tanzania, and TZS 231.0 billion is for Zanzibar” Hon. Masauni said.

He also clarified that the use of such funds will be used in accordance with the priorities spelled out in the national budget for the financial year 2021/22 where the health sector received TZS 466.9 billion, education TZS 368.9 billion, water TZS 139.4 billion, tourism TZS 90.2 billion, and the Tanzania Social Action Fund (TASAF) TZS 5.5 billion.

The Tanzanian Budget 2021/22

In June 2021, the parliament of Tanzania approved the Central Government Budget of TZS 36.68 trillion for the financial year 2021-2022.

The total budget has been increased by 5% from TZS 34.88 trillion allocated in the 2020-2021 budget.

The budget is mainly financed by domestic revenues for TZS 26.0 trillion (71%), grants from development partners for TZS 2.9 trillion (8%), domestic loans for TZS 5.0 trillion (14%), and conditional external commercial loans for TZS 2.4 trillion (7%).

Most of the budget (63%) will be allocated for recurrent expenditure, while 37% will be destined for development projects.
