Everybody fears death, believe it. Be it atheist or not, the thought of how you are going to die, I mean the manner of your death, Unaccomplished goals you wish you had accomplished before death, how your family is going to cope with your absence and related details are some details that leave many of us with fear. The only difference between Atheists and God believers is that, while God believers comfort themselves in thoughts of life after death, eternal life and rewards if they conduct themselves up to standards of their beliefs, Atheists face death head-on without such illusions and are okay with it.
Even people who have suicidal tendencies usually face a certain degree of fear when they realize that they are facing imminent death and that there is no turning back to reserve a situation leading them to death.

nope, I'm not one bit scared of death, so are my fellow believers, maybe you are, we're not scared because we know this life that we're living right now doesn't last forever, but the following one does, and its up to you to decide where will you land, Heaven or Hell.

Then why do you cry at funerals? Go to the hospital when you fall ill or when you get injured in an accident ?
And even when you face imminent death while you are aware, a good example being the two major hostage taking incidents in Kenya, where it was widely reported on how hostages cried and prayed for their lives to be spared by the hostage takers. Why go to such lengths if death is not scary? Why not rejoice for going to meet your maker and receive all the promised rewards?
